Morning, I’m going to try eat better this new year (although I do say it every year) not going to start in January because i find January soo depressing and got paid earlier in December so 6 weeks to wait until January pay 😩. Not that I’ve got anything to do or spend it on, this year as been a great year for debt busting since nothing else to do lol. I’m sure your mum will be looking down on you today, keep your chin up. Take care xx
  • Well done on all you have achieved this year, you've done so well.
Hope you're able to think happy thoughts of your Mum on her birthday, my late Dad's birthday is on the 8th of January and it always kicks me in the stomach a little.
    Wishing you a very happy 2021 💞

so lovely to be by the beach - would certainly get me out the house a lot more often.

apparently Tier 5 was trending on twitter, but as a joke more than reality - although I can't help feeling there may be more to come
I think it will be a full scale lockdown again soon if numbers don't reduce again.
Agreed...another 6 months of this rubbish I reckon...

Get you on the not really doing anything anyway but still hating it. For me it’s the lack of freedom and also no end in sight...
I miss being able to see my family and friends and going to football.
Absolutely! Going to be more noticeable now I’m going to be in tier 4 and in my own place. Probably taken for granted the living with family...

    Happy new year Sarah!

I think we all say it every year lol. January is always a long month isn't it. It's my birthday on 21st so that always helps break the month up

    So finances for 2021.
    Starting with
£1300 to pay in credit card
£4200 on loan from my dad
£750 in emergency fund - first thing I'm doing is topping this back up.

    January plans
    £250 back to emergency fund
    £250 to sinking funds
£25 which is min payment on CC
£100 which is standard repayment for loan to dad each month.

Spends allowance took a big hit with £80 out for years parking permit for car parks at beach, country park and car park near harbour. Will be worth it in long run as its £2 a time for 2 hrs every time we wanted to go. It's also good incentive to get out for a walk and make most of it.
It's my birthday this month otherwise nothing much happening. Be interesting to see if able to go back to having massage in a few weeks. Not holding my breath tbh but very frustrating as got 5 left in credit with the beauty salon and my back could do with one.
Been trying my hand out at a bit of match getting over last few weeka. Not sure its for me long term as don't have patience for it but will keep going for now.
This months plan is to try and have some more NSDs. It's 2 out of 2 so far. Need to do food shop tomorrow, does that count as its an essential shop? Guess that's for me to decide. Have managed to resist the McDonald's so far despite my housemate trying to tempt me. Her answer is we can start being healthy from Monday. 🙄

Food shopping is essential but I still count it as a spend day!  I don't count days when DDs come out though as they come out throughout the month rather than all on one day - I get my money weekly and monthly so don't want them all coming out at the same time!

Healthy eating - just start!  Don't put it off until tomorrow - you know it never comes!
