Just want to say I've read your whole diary and subscribed. You've made such good progress this year. Well done.
I can also sympathise on the fizzy drink habit, I spend so much money on it it's ridiculous and I can't seem to break the habit!Emergency Fund: £500/£1000

I might have to try that. I don't really like other fizzy in the same way I do coke so swapping over will mean I'll have less sugar and less caffeine, I'll also be spending less money!Emergency Fund: £500/£1000

December is turning into a difficult month for me financially. I'm struggling with my emotions and the fact that Christmas is all but cancelled for me. Just me and my housemate on Christmas day so I will be cooking us a roast with extras basically. So now need to go buy some of that stuff. Was supposed to be round her mums so we had no snacky stuff either and seeing as we're both off for the whole time (I'm working from home the Tues) we are gonna get ourself a few bits to eat. Whereas before we planned on being at her mums or my brothers for most of that time. I've also paid for my block of massages which I now can't have until we move out of tier 4 but my back is hurting me a lot so managed to get booked in with chiropractor but as its been over 2 years need a new assessment rather than just a simple appointment. I hate that I'm having to put this on my card. I know next month I will be able to settle it all again and just not pay as much into sinking Fund but it's very frustrating. I'm really gonna have to grow some patience when it comes to making overpayments on the card and maybe adjust my budget for next year allowing myself slightly more. Or just get a grip on my spending. Before when you could gwt out and do stuff that was free or low cost it didn't seem so bad but we're basically all but back into lockdown again. 😭 Anyone else in tier 4 and finding it harder this time round?*Dad loan - £5300 - £7300

Yes I'm Tier 4 too and I agree it's harder this time round. Doesn't help that the weather is so miserable and it gets dark so much earlier. But it's just a case of putting up with it and hoping that we can get our of Tier 4 sooner rather than later although from the messages from Patrick Vallance yesterday it looks even more of the UK is likely to have to move into Tier 4 too soon. Not sounding very positive at all. Still it's not long until Christmas and the New Year and hopefully 2021 will be better than 2020 - well eventually anyway!
