Hi Sarah, do you have you boiler repaired yet? Was thinking off you last night we had gas engineers doing work in street so my heating wasn’t on for me coming home from work, it was chilly.0

ceremony said:Just caught up with your diary. It seems like every diary I've read everyone's getting festive already! Are those posh candles worth it? I'm using one from Wilko at the moment to freshen the living room up a bit. I've never been sure whether it's worth paying extra for a brand name when it's something you quite literally set on fire.Another dehumidifier fan here btw... glad you're feeling better these days.
Thanks I'm still getting so much from it, but don't know if that's because I work in the room all day and sleep there all night. But basically I empty it in morning when I wake up and again at night before go to sleep. 2 litres every time. Cold is back now and with a vengeance.*Dad loan - £5300 - £7200

Majority of Christmas shopping done for me now. Only thing left is photos for my dad's album and my friends scrapbook but I'll use a free printing app so just pay postage. Gonna have a rummage over weekend through box of pics my mum had of us in kids and some of them will go in the album for my dad. Also got lots I have printed in past of his grandkids that can go in it too. Think he will like it as he's always saying he wished he had more pics of the grandkids.
Did food shop on weds for stuff to get me through most of week. Just need more milk at weekend. Need to cut back on my fizzy drinks though as brought 2 bottles of 2 litre PM and only got half a bottle left now. That was good thing about when was drinking cans I limtied myself to 3 a day. Which is still a lot but less than drinking at the moment.
Had to order some new boots as mine have sadly given up the ghost. Got 2 good heads out of them, I basically lived in them during autumn winter months. But got some 25% off so happy with that for now. Just have to hope they fit as you have to order online these days sadly. But taken out of my personal spends so gonna be a long month in that respect. Have to cut back on the takeaways. Probably a good thing.*Dad loan - £5300 - £7200

Thanks for the reply re: the candles. I'll stick to the cheap ones then!I hope you can get repairs arranged soon. The weather's been alright lately but I don't think candles will keep you going for much longer. Maybe you could replace the fizzy drinks with some cups of herbal tea to keep you feeling cosy? Better for your wallet and health, and nice and warm too! Assuming, of course, you like the taste of tea.Fingers crossed those boots will fit you!Start Debt Jun 2020 = £10,036 - Current £5,894 | #324 £1,000 Emergency Fund Member - £2050

I also got addicted to fizzy drinks when OH was on a diet for the wedding and he had diet coke for sweetness (PT programme!). Now I have a can after lunch and dinner and it cures my sweettooth, but definitely addicted. I also drink 4 cups of coffee a day (this has increased from 3 prelockdown...) so unsure herbal tea would work for me 😅 maybe I need a lbm about fizzy drinks to combat it 😂0

Ginger tea is where it’s at. I used to drink a lot of coffee, now I have a couple of cups in the morning and ginger tea for the rest of the day. The stuff I have is quite pricey but it’s delicious (£30 for 200 bags).

Not a fan of herbal tea tbh not found one I really like the taste of. I can drink decaff normal tea though so that might be the way to go. Also I have brought myself some nicer squash to encourage me to drink more of it. And when I do drink it I'm like Ooo this is so good but then the thought of knowing I want fizzy but shouldn't be having it often overrules that logical side. Ha.
I have ordered two sizes and will send back the ones I don't need. I'm now maybe thinking I might send back both tbh I will see when they arrive as not likely to be going out in the cold for work anytime soon and have trainers and my lace up boots for casual. So maybe save the money and get a decent pair next year in the sale or next autumn. I'll see when they arrive how they feel and if like them. If don't love them they will be going back.*Dad loan - £5300 - £7200
