Ginger tea is where it’s at. I used to drink a lot of coffee, now I have a couple of cups in the morning and ginger tea for the rest of the day. The stuff I have is quite pricey but it’s delicious (£30 for 200 bags).
Couple of slices of raw ginger with hot water is also lovely.
Probably a cheaper way of achieving the same thing haha.

Have you tried squash with fizzy water. Large bottles are super cheap in supermarkets.

No might be worth a shot actually. Though tbh probably should just stay away from the fizzy in general. I like sparkling water so maybe need to buy some of cheap flavoured ones

Have you tried a sodastream? Family have one and you can get sugar free flavoured syrups for them as well. No idea how MSE they are but the canisters seem to last a longtime ha.

The ginger tea has helped my cravings for sweet things...

Not got one but have heard they are quite good. I'll see how i go with cutting down first and moving onto a cheaper version.

Yes, its definitely a bit like marmite - you either love it or hate it    I'm just a huge fan of ginger - fave takeaway is chicken with ginger and spring onions

Ryan - my DD loves the Teapigs peppermint tea - I think they are about £3.50 for 20, but I picked up some similar bags in Aldi for about half the price and she says they are just as good.  I'm not sure if they do ginger ones - although the Teapigs don't contain any plastic so are better for us and for the environment so I may have to switch back.  Although I had heard (pre-pandemic) that all teabags are going to have to be made without plastic soon.  (here's hoping).

Planning an Aldi trip today as it happens (to pick up some cheap wine), so will have a look at them.

The teabags I bought don’t seem to contain plastic either (though may be wrong), they look like thickish paper. They’re from some kind of natural foods company, so you’d hope not .

Love a mint tea too but the fiery warmth of the ginger is really nice when it’s so cold and miserable.

I like ginger in food and I like a gingerbread latte but I can't have too much of it so think maybe that's why the tea doesn't appeal to me. I do have a few different herbal teas maybe I need to get them back out again

I cut out a Diet Coke habit with sparkling water and those flavoured sparkling waters ( they are about 45p for a big bottle) and then my dentist frightened me off all sparkling drinks!

I still love a DC though...
