Yesterday and today were both NSDs, 4/15! Tomorrow I have to go survey a pub so will be spending, along with getting a few ingredients whilst I'm out. Veg box didn't arrive today so a little starved for inspiration. Used a scrag of cooking bacon, the last of the potatoes and some mozzarella for cheesy air-fryer chips. I miss playing "What the hell is this?" with my veg box.
Today I am thankful for a cat that is pleasantly warming my lap, a sturdy pair of boots and a peaceful evening.Mortgage free by 33 - (21/07/22 - 32 years and a bit...)
Most DIY problems can be solved by a combination of spanner, pliers, screwdriver, Allan key and a blade. (Hold it, twist it, cut it!) Very occasionally industrial language, a hammer and an adhesive may need to be added to the mix. (Curse it, hit it, patch it!)5 -
Morning all
Cold and frosty day here. Had a long day in work yesterday. Bought an extra large salad box for lunch as I can claim back the cost and I've saved half of it for a free lunch today
Spent yesterday as needed petrol so called into the supermarket for a few supplies i'd run low of and needed stuff for when DD2 comes home from uni for the weekend.
Gratitudes:
Friendly meetings in work
Text chat with friend
Plus one on tv so could catch up with White House Farm when I got home from work
Have a good day everyone

Tanya - Happy Birthday to your young man.
Deni - are you having very long days in your new job?
I applied for a job yesterday but forgot that I hadn't updated my cv on that particular job site so it was totally out of date - I don't think I am meant to work.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Morning turtle flappers. Ice on windscreen this morning but sun is popping its head out now.
Today is haircut day and meal out with friend tonight. Also I have a young man coming around this afternoon, hold your excitement, hopefully sort out my leaky gutter. Money out again.
Need to seriously shape up, kill debts and save some money as my boss wanting to retire seems to be getting real today. Probably another 2 years max in this job for me.
Toni treat yourself sounds lovely you deserve it. Hope the hospice visit goes well and you husbands tests are fine.
Tanya happy 18th to your boy.
Massage worked well yesterday, first decent night sleep in ages. Was going to do a long walk this afternoon but now hanging around waiting for roofing guy. doh.

Yesterday was a spend day as I did my weekly shop. Today will be NSD though.
Getting lunch included at an appointment today.
Thankful for:
Health cash plan paying out for something
Cupboard and fridge full of food
My lovely glass bottle that I’ve refilled with cheap olive oil but looks so much better than in its plastic bottle6 -
Grateful for:
- making it home with a wonky pedal on my bike (a screw had come undone - husband almost fixed it, but I cannot ride the bike yet, as the screw is not on tightly enough. We are now looking around for who would have a proper electric bolt-tightener that we could borrow).
- Memory game with dds last night
- nice meal from bits and pieces in the fridge and pantry

Today will be NSD3, I have already had a lovely chat with DS1s college tutors (they lined up and passed the phone) as they are concerned about his passive nature and his lack of work:mad:.
I am going out to the f/ b for a couple of hours, and picking up the kids from school, and then I am going to dunk my head in a vat of custard and scream loudly.
Gratitudes: tutors confirming he is not doing the work (what the flip is he doing then???) so I can address the situation before it is too late.
:T:T For proactive tutors :T:T Even if it is totally embarrassing:o:o:o:o
For the shiny new mortgage (even if old mortgage company still thinks it is in their bank - so it says online)
For me not seeing DS1 for another 5 hours. I will be composed by then. I will. I will not eat ice cream.

This is going to take some getting used to. Where has the last page button gone and the first unread one gone? Has everyone lost their avatar (is that the right word?).
