Begging letter, sometimes known as a debt collecting letter, NEWBIE sticky fourth post deals, just take no action, file it and wait for a proper letter of/before claim which will give you 30 days to respond and will contain financial forms (or a link to them - of course you don't fill them in) and should also contain their full particulars of claim (POC) That is when you come back here.2

As you will know, because you have checekd the NEWBIES thread first, this is merely a debt collectors letter
It is not a letter before action
Come back when you get a letter beofre action or a claim form from the CCBC. You will know what they look like, as you can search here or just simple google it.3 -
Thank you both - I shall play the waiting game again.1

Hi All,
So, I played the waiting game from July to today and I have now received a LBC. I have read through all the advice on what needs to be done on the sticky page but I have a couple of queries that I am unsure on.
I have also outlined what I have done and what my plan of action is based on the advice on the sticky and am just looking for confirmation that I am on the right path before I proceed.
Plan
The LBC is from BW Legal for a PPC (Link Parking), I have complained to the management company of the flat previously and they have outright denied any responsibility and have said I need to deal with Link directly.
As advised, I am not sending any information back to BW Legal via their forms and instead requesting a SAR from Link as per the LegalBeagles guide to the e-mail provided at the bottom of this page - https://www.linkparking.co.uk/privacy-policy.php
As per the sticky, I will then e-mail BW Legal to state that I have requested the SAR and that I deny the debt etc.
Queries
Can I please confirm that the above process is correct?
With regards to letting BW Legal know I have requested a SAR, should I just use a normal contact e-mail or respond back to the letter in the post, i.e., respond to the forms? Even though, above it states I shouldn’t respond to their forms.
Can I also confirm that if this stage is the last stage before court action if this stage fails?
Is the advice with regards to the Government Gateway and MCOL for a court summons rather than LBC? I couldn’t figure out where the advice for LBC stopped and the advice for CCJ started on the sticky.
Anything else that I may have missed or misunderstood?
Thank you all,
Ssm90

As per the sticky, I will then e-mail BW Legal to state that I have requested the SAR and that I deny the debt etc.Require them to put any action on hold as, while you deny any debt, you are seeking 'debt advice' (use those two words). The Pre-Action Protocol for Debt Claims applies. With regards to letting BW Legal know I have requested a SAR, should I just use a normal contact e-mail or respond back to the letter in the post, i.e., respond to the forms? Even though, above it states I shouldn’t respond to their forms.Simply send via email to BWL. You are not 'responding to their forms', you're responding to their LBC. You still don't respond to the forms they have enclosed with their LBC.Is the advice with regards to the Government Gateway and MCOL for a court summons rather than LBC? I couldn’t figure out where the advice for LBC stopped and the advice for CCJ started on the sticky.Your entire paragraph is confused. There is no 'summons' - that relates to criminal charges. MCOL only comes into play when a court claim is raised via the Northampton CCBC. You are nowhere near a CCJ (County Court Judgment), unless/until you've been to court and lost your case. Miles away! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I can't even figure out how to multi-quote...
Thanks for the above Umkomaas, to be honest, I'm not sure what I meant by the whole MCOL thing myself, but from your response I gather it is something I do not need to worry about for now.
So, it seems like I am on the right line, I still have 4 weeks to respond so I will proceed with my plan in a few weeks time.
One more question that I forgot to ask, does anyone know if this is taken to court (and even if its cleared), will it stay on the record of medical professionals?0 -

One more question that I forgot to ask, does anyone know if this is taken to court (and even if its cleared), will it stay on the record of medical professionals? It's the small claims court about a dispute over an invoice. Exactly the same as if you disputed an invoice over some plumbing work done in your property. Do you think that a plumbing invoice dispute would 'stay on the records of medical professionals'?
But if I'm honest, I don't even know what the terms and conditions are of 'records of medical professionals'. Have you asked your employer, or your profession's representatives? You will get much more informed and relevant advice from them, than asking a parking forum about the intricacies of whatever records you are concerned about. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum.
