Caroline: it's tricky from a phone, if you can use a desktop then you can get to your profile page, notification settings are at the end. On a phone/iPad, switch to landscape mode to be able to see the buttons. Tap your profile pic and a bar with extra options should appear. Good luck!
It took me a while to find the board again, but I can report £130/400 remaining with two weekly shops to go.

Feel like I’m struggling this month. Just realised I have no fresh fruit so that will be another spend tomorrow. My gusto and motivation has taken a kicking. Pity sure that’s to be expected about 6 weeks in to a very different way of living.10

Friday we spent £13.12. Nothing since then. So far we haven't spent that much this month.
However we have an A&C delivery scheduled for tomorrow which will be £59.77 including the delivery (£10 is for the club zero membership so we can do more to reduce our plastic waste, £9.10 on walnuts and cashews and the rather embarrassing one is £26.86 on Gobi berries I like but these will last me months).
OH is at his parents to watch the rugby (he wasn't happy that France one but oh well) so they are feeding him. He'll be home tomorrow.
I'm having left over vegetable stir fry with rice and nor I for dinner today.
£36.08/£216.22.
£180.14 left.
Not a fan of this new forum layout etc. I use tablet and phone only and it is horrid on that format. I change it to desktop site layout everytime but even this way I dislike it. It isn't as easy to use, the colour isn't good (I used the old format on the previous system) etc. This is my first post as I was trying to get used to how to work this site now. Haven't tried to quote or anything yet as still getting used to this. I'm only 30 as well so....I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy8 -

Evening all, hope you've all managed to stay warm and dry today. Had a small spend of £5.20 yesterday at the local community farm shop, bought 1/2 dozen duck eggs (the kids wanted to try them) and 2 packs of luxury biscuits as it was minimum £5 spend on the card. I don't mind as I like to support local businesses.
Today I had to pop out to buy passata as I'd not realised we'd run out and I was making lasagne for tea, I also picked up a root veg pack so I could make cottage pie whilst I was in the kitchen. 2 portions of lasagne for the freezer and a container of cottage pie mix too ( makes an easy meal in the week as i'll defrost and add some frozen mash I was given and then heat through in the oven). Spending £1.30
Was hoping to stretch the meat for the lasagne further and be able to save some for enchiladas later in the month but it didn't work that way. I think I could have left off a layer of the lasagne though so I know for next time.
Tonight's delivery came to £59.47 after I sent 2 substitutions back. Was happy with 1 though - I ordered 10 29.3g da!ry m!lk chocolates bars for £2 they substituted them for 3 x 4 36g bars instead. I don't pay more for substitutes so happy days.
This weeks meals should be
fish, chips and peas
bbq pork stacks, new potatoes and veg (carrots and green beans)
slow cooker chicken chow mein
veggie meatballs and pasta
steak, sweet potato fries, filled mushrooms, peppers/onions ( the kids will have filled pasta with pesto) - treat tea for Valentine's
sweet & sour pork and rice
sausage casserole and mashGrocery Challenge 2024

I don't know about the times but I can see the dates in a turquoise bar at the top of each post, and I think I can still see in a person's details when they were last activeSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far

This new format is all very bizarre.I'm using it on my Android phone, n can't see any dates or times at the top of posts
Anyway due to the awful weather, I'm getting another Morrison's delivery today, which takes me to £40/120 so far this month
ISLANDMAID , the HM flatbreads sound fab btw

Wow, this thread has come on apace since I went on holiday. at the end of January. Thank you elsiepac for finding time to run the thread. My month does not start until 8th as that is when my work pension is paid and I sort out my monthly payments. Trying to work to the 4-weekly state pension payments I found to be near impossible. I've used some of my grocery budget to pay for meals while away, and will do the same when I am visiting family this weekend.
I spent a total of £15.80 across Adl & Lidli on fruit, veg and a roasting chicken. That should last until next week with just a top up of bread and milk, although I need to check if I have enough cat food.
Stay safe in the wind everybody.

Needed a few bits for lunch today

€43.01 spent
This is over the last few days as I buy different things in different places. My challenge to only buy reduced or on offer meat/fish was a success. My husband bought us a tray of chicken and minced beef but apart from that everything else was either on offer or reduced so I’m going to carry this on for February. Today I got a packet of sausages and a whole chicken (a rare find) at 30% off.
€250.57 left
yesterday and today. Lidl has baby bel on offer that was too good to refuse and so I spent €6 on those alone
I am still struggling with this layout and colours

needed more milk, breakfast items and onions. I also picked up monkfish and cod at 30% off
