Evening all
HK, sorry to hear that you have been poorly again
Ditty, glad your DS is ok, hope he recovers quickly. I am sure he will, he is young
CLF, pleased you got what you wanted in the dreaded Swedish shop, but it is a trek round, isn't it? I like walking, but not amongst all that stuff  Absolutely agree that it encourages waste, and yes, I think we probably do have similar tastes.
Spendy again today, as we bought a new mattress. Lots of big spends in these early weeks of 2020, but all planned, and with a view to the likelihood that these things will not get any cheaper as the year progresses. Got free delivery and collection of the old mattress, £300 off, and a good discount on the posh pillows that I also bought. Never hurts to ask nicely!
Other than that - not much
Depressing time of the year, depressing times that we live in etc
Called in to Home B*rgains as it is on the same trading estate as the bed shop, and got my seed potatoes and shallot sets for 99p per pack. And 1 pack of each is plenty for my tiny garden.
Came home for coffee, not a hard choice as the only cafe / restaurant on the trading estate is a horrible greasy chicken fast food place. They are missing a trick there, a good place for a nice coffee shop and there isn't one!
Read the meters and entered the readings on the energy company's app
RM surveys stuff also done
Made a Nigel Slater recipe of sausages with Puy lentils for dinner, which was yummy, and as I made double quantities there is enough for tomorrow as well0 -
Morning folks!
Ditty - I'm glad your son's op went well
HK - tsk tsk on lying on your belly cleaning but I bet the result was very satisfying!
Dawn - we need a new mattress this year too. Is there anywhere you found that has good deals on?
Phew well yesterday was a MISSION. Mil is remodelling the conservatory (I would call it a sun room tbh as it has a solid(ish!) roof) after a very bad leak in said roof. Saw it as the perfect opportunity to go through fil's dvds and see what was staying and what was going.
To cut a long story short, this involved tens of trips up and down into the loft, about 1000 dvds: £170 worth to MM; a bag to stay there; a bag to come here; a few for the cs and about 200 back to the loft to try again in a few months.
I am knackered. Went to bed at 10.30 and passed straight out until 7 this morning. Bounced right up and rushed round like a BAF though as OH is working doing a wedding show and due to dvd malarkey, we hadn't sorted his lunch for today. Got him all kitted up and out the door on time though
Today's mission:
:heartpuls B/L/D from stores - done
:heartpuls Put washing away - done
:heartpuls: Refill bird feeders and apply squirrel deterrent - done
:heartpuls List an expensive item on ebay - done

:heartpuls Scrapbooking using new tin of plastic free glue. Will report back on it. It smells deliciously of almonds - done. Glue seems to work, hopefully will stay stuck once dry. It's also vegan if anyone is considering that
:heartpuls Cross stitch. Just one shark to do - done. Nearly finished
:heartpuls Open windows for a bit to air house - done
:heartpuls Pulled out the big Who Gives a Cr*p box to use for sending the dvds - done
:heartpuls Might put washing outside! I've been quite lazy on this over this winter as the new dehumidifier is so fab!! - done

Many thanks for ur thoughts with infections. Everything back under control and feeling much better. Im sure the tv watching has helped:D!!
I think January has been so long this year that i am up to date with paperwork and im never up to date. Ive just wanted to get stuck into it. Its been the same with the decluttering and storing things tidily, it has been addictive. I must admit CLF that i was back on my belly last night giving under the spare bed a sort out and wipe down. It was so satisfying to put everything back neatly and getting rid of some things. My excuse is a long January so good chance to get things done that has cost me very little money, plus a blue moon as im never this efficient:rotfl::rotfl:!!
Need to go to the shops, have a small list to stick to.
Out tonight, just petrol spends which are budgeted for.
Checked banking this morning, ready for direct debits going out Monday.
Really need to get spends book back up and running-aim for the month
Must log RM survey items today
Eating from freezer today
Thats about it from me.
Have a great day everyone xDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Looking like a bit of a NSD day today - as can't go anywhere. Spent an hour or so tidying garden, but it is quite windy. Walked dog. Forgot to put laundry outside - so will have to use dryer - must get additional duve cover.
Have done my budgets and numbers for the last few months and and a rough plan for February. It's looking ok, not grand, main focus is to promote a nice week for the recovering one - he might be home for a grand total of 2-3 weeks this month.
Roasting chicken for dinner, and will make a cake for pudding.
Had porridge w berries for breakfast and a pasta bake for lunch - sort of left overs from last night.
Tomorrow it will be bacon and pancakes for lunch.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

We went to Dreams. They did have some offers / a sale, free delivery and various discounts / freebies, but goodness mattresses are expensive, aren't they  Well worth a look in store, even if you don't buy from them, as they had this amazing machine thing that tells you what kind of mattress you need to buy. I assume all their stores have this, as there is nothing special about the one we went to, on a trading estate just outside the next, bigger town. And the customer service seemed good. Nice knowledgeable man, not pushy. Ended up buying not the one we liked best, as it was £500 more expensive than the one we liked second best, and there was a 2 month wait for delivery. With the economic situation as it is at the moment, I am not happy to pay for something expensive 2 months in advance, in case anything happens to a company in the interim  Anyway, the one we decided upon is coming on 14 February.
Not much done today except for lots of walking, which is good, of course. Walked into town with DD and the munchkins, and then a dog walk later with OH.
Prepped next week's postal survey stuff
Made a loaf in the BM
Fed everyone at lunchtime
Gave DD some RM surveys free stamps, as I have loads
Dinner was leftovers from last night
Ought to tidy up a bit after the little ones I suppose, but motivation is lacking0 -

Morning folks (is it?)
Hit a bit of a wall yesterday with energy levels. I'm not surprised as I've been gallivanting about with the recent burst of energy. I feel ok, just really tired so I need to take it easy today as much as possible. I'm in work but I can just sit on my butt. I also need to not get anxious on top of it.
Small things today:
:heartpuls B/L/D from stores
:heartpuls Check PMP
:heartpuls Charge phone in work - done
:heartpuls Tackle huge pile of washing up
:heartpuls Finish cross stitch
:heartpuls Rest rest rest
Have a good one all
