    Hi jbkmum welcome aboard!

Does your ds like chilli con carne? I often turn bolognase into chilli by adding some beans, a bit of spice and a bit of sweetcorn. You could even use rinsed off baked beans instead of kidney beans!

He likes chili but he's funny about beans, yet likes baked beans. I might add some baked beans though and see what happens, I can always eat it!

I think I would make a chili seperately (12 packs of mince in the freezer) as the bolognese is one my SO made, red wine and all. DS told me last night it was the best thing he had ever eaten....cheers child!!

So last night I managed to....

[STRIKE]Cycle home for lunch time to walk the dogs. Put the wash on so that it starts after 7pm when my energy is cheaper.[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Check bolognese has defrosted for DS tea.[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Once back at work, charge phone and bike lights.[/STRIKE]
Strip chicken carcass in fridge, freeze meat, put carcass in slow cooker for stock.
[STRIKE]Take tomorrows bolognese out for DS tea (bolognese week poor child).[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Take out tomorrows soup for lunch[/STRIKE]
Roast Butternut squash so I can make cake. Freeze in 400gram pouches.
    Post ebay parcel.

I still have a few things to do, I didn't roast the squash as I need some eggs. I did use up a load of odds and ends in the freezer to make pasta however which was good - pretending it was a free meal!

Ask SO to bring me eggs, means I don't have to buy them (we don't live together)
Work out how much milk we need to get through to Friday and use the rest to make rice pudding.
Hang washing up on radiators, rather than use the DrySoon. If I do a wash every day at 7pm I end up getting it dry over the millions of radiators in my house.
£5000 left to pay on credit cards, down from 40k!!

Went into town to just look around and almost went on a spending rampage, as store is closing, but I averted it and stuck with buying nice ankle socks which I need. I think I just wanted a bit of day off fun, but it cost me 2.2 in parking and I got that buzzy feeling about spending, which I don't think is a good thing. So anyways - mostly averted,
Will walk dog later maybe with neighbour and thats all the plan I have for the day.
    SO
    Cleaning
    Sorting
    Charity pile
    cook some tomato sauce
    draw something
    run some laundry
drop off some stuff to ex
Have a sunny day out there.

Afternoon all and welcome to the thread Jbkmum.

Some may remember I had a bad day earlier in the month with a dental referral. Well today I've had an appointment with a new dentist and I have decided to switch to them from my nhs dentist. This dentist agreed with one I saw earlier in the month who couldn't understand why I'd been referred for one tooth and not the one I thought, the wisdom tooth. So I am going to pay privately to have this bad wisdom tooth taken out (the week after half term) then I will be "dentally fit" and I can then go onto Denplan. Felt much happier coming out of this place today, its a well established practice that has recently relocated into a purpose built unit, its closer then my old practice, has onsite parking and I was seen on time! (I didn't know that was possible!)
    Anyway onto todays list
    * kids had cheap but healthy porridge for their breakfasts ✅
    * 1 gym class done, some free weights done and water bottle refilled ✅
    * called into my parents, perfect timing as they were doing a brunch so I had a lovely breakfast of smoked salmon, avocado, poached eggs and toast! ✅
    * collected two books from the library on the way home ✅
    * picked up a loaf of bread and some ys celery from the co-op which I need for tomorrows lunches ✅
    * check banking/update cashbook ✅
    * see if I have a couple of suitable birthday cards in my stash
    * make a chilli and a spag bol with some mince I took out of the freezer yesterday
    * sew up little hole in ds1s school trousers
    * look for a receipt in my file, as dh might want to put a claim in
    * make families lunches for tomorrow
    * update my food diary - I'm trying to get this weight shifting the right way for a change as my clothes are feeling a little too snug

✅ ✅ Claimed a £5 amzn voucher from rm surveys, I've also got enough in p1n3cone for a voucher but they didn't have amazn/m&s this time so I'll leave it for a bit as the other ones which were for £5 I don't need.
That's enough to be starting with so I better crack on!

    Take care all.
Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

    Afternoon all :j
Just done a shop in Mr S. I must note spends in my diary / on my spreadsheet shortly.
    Other things:
Washed hair with everlasting shampoo bar, and left to dry naturally

Used up half a banana that GS started yesterday with my breakfast. Just cut off the chewed bit!
Folded dry washing off airer and put in airing cupboard
Pulled aired stuff out of airing cupboard and put away :A

Put a few items in my sales unit to fill spaces, while I was out
Load of washing, just about to peg it out for a couple of hours in the hope that it blows about a bit and doesn't rain!
Lunch was a sandwich and a piece of cake which I shared with OH
Will walk the dog a bit later, weather permitting (I don't mind personally, but the dog doesn't do rain!)

Dinner will be more of the huge frittata that I made last night, will do some veg to go with it
Ought to get some items on ebay, but struggling to find the motivation, especially with the increase in paypal fees :(
Ought also to do some hoovering :(
