Motorhome left parked on road

Mad rant at legally parked vehicle.....calm down.
Why do people think the public highway outside their home somehow belongs to them.0 -

Or hope someone eventually hits it.
I think the police are not as stupid as you imply.Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid0 -

Exactly, I'm sure they would prefer to park it off the road for free, declare SORN and not pay for the vehicle tax.0 -

How big is it? It may need to have lights when parked at night. So maybe it is not fine to park it if it is taxed and insured anywhere they like. (at night)0

Its been mentioned a few times already, but I havent seen a response to the statements / questions. Is it taxed and MOT'ed? You can check this online.
If not...... thats how it gets reported and moved!0 -
We were going to get a caravan and had already factored in paying for storage because we didn't want to inconvenience our neighbours.
One of our neighbours bought a motorhome and parked it on their own space in the garage compound. They apologised profusely and said they were arranging storage. It was gone a couple of days later and we've never seen it again.
Parking a blimming great thing in a crowded street is inconsiderate.0 -

It seems wrong.
Do you think motorhomes should be subject to different laws to any other vehicle?
I think you might be exaggerating a bit with...iammumtoone wrote: »This is taking up at least 4 parking spaces (two where its parked and two on the opposite side as no one can park there as cars would not be able to get through the gap) in a road where there is never enough room anyway.
It may be a chunk longer, yes. But unlikely to be twice the length of a car. This is what a motorhome that's twice the length of a Ford Focus looks like...
...and that's assuming our two hypothetical Focuses are touching bumpers, which they won't be.0 -
I can understand how blinking annoying it can be to have large vehicles parking in your road but there’s nothing you can do about it if they are taxed and insured and not over the weight restrictions or breaking any parking restrictions.
We regularly have 2 “car” transporters parking in our narrow residential street. The owners do not live in our road. Sometimes they have a car on the back and once one even had a small boat on the back. Sometimes these vehicles do not move for days or even weeks. My neighbour complained to the council and was told there is nothing wrong. I personally have other more important (to me) things to worry about but my neighbour gets so infuriated I think it can’t be good for his blood pressure!0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Is there a bit missing from this story? Why did the owner apologise for having a vehicle parked in their own space?Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid0
