Probably not enough to stop you going to work and certainly not sufficient to risk not getting paid by self isolating.

Such a selfish approach perpetuates the problems.
What about all the properties that have been rushed into the market to try to sell before the big falls? Are they selfish or just foreword thinking?

If you worked in a tannery in China, don't get sick pay and felt a bit under the weather what would you do?

    Get tested first.

    The test are not accurate

So you are saying there has been a change in behaviour by sellers.
There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.

There is lots of discussion here, but no anecdotal evidence of any effect on the poster or friends, family or work mates.
So presently everyone and everything is exactly as before.
It is very early days yet, but there are two different issues, health risks and economic ones from changed behaviour. Two colleagues at work today talking about it. One is due to go to Tenerife in September and doesn’t want to go, the other was due to go to New York in a month and has cancelled. He has lost his flights but hadn’t yet paid his accommodation.

Big mass events like festivals generate millions in expenditure. If they are cancelled - will that be replaced by expenditure elsewhere or will that money not be spent? There’s going to be a tussle between the pragmatic, carry on as normal and the chicken littles running around saying ‘the sky is falling down’ At the moment panic is winning.

This is a point where a skilled captain can steer a course between these two extremes, reassuring the public that necessary steps are being taken, whilst maintaining business confidence. Unfortunately I cannot think of anyone less suited to do that than the Trump and Johnson axis we have at the moment.

This is is an interesting article. Little change so far, but no new bookings and a drop in confidence. The possibility of replacing high spending Chinese with lower spending natives.

There are always winners as well as losers. If you’re in the hand sanitiser business at the moment you’re probably doing ok.

Looks like the markets are already taking this in their stride, plus China now looks like it is mopping up after a rough storm and getting back to normal. I was a little worried, but it does now look like this whole episode would have started and then finished in less than 6 months. Come Summer this will all be history thank goodness.

On Saturday I went to a cinema showing of Opera live from New York. I am a regular at these performances. If you buy a ticket early you can get the pick of the seats and as time goes on you can imagine how this works,
if you buy tickets on the day of the performance your choice is limited to the rows closer to the screen.
on Saturday the back half was full with a distinct lack of customers sitting further forward.
so a number of lost sales in my opinion.
However I must be over sensitive to this as most posters don’t appear to have any personal experiences of corona fear.
There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.

Wrong decision I would say. There is no panic in NY and Chinese tourist number bottomed out, it is a nice time to be in NY
Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.

With all the sensationalist reporting by the mainstream media already out there it is quite incredible that you still have to make stuff up to support your own laughable claims.
