I was a little worried, but it does now look like this whole episode would have started and then finished in less than 6 months. Come Summer this will all be history thank goodness.

Confirmed it has mutated there are three main mutations similar to SARS,MIRS and AIDSNebulous2 said:
It has mutated already. The Italian version is slightly different from the Chinese one. Coronaviruses don’t seem to mutate as much as flu ones, but humans don’t develop immunity as readily either. That’s why it is much easier to get repeated colds (coronavirus) then flu.GDB2222 said:
Surely, we keep getting new mutations of flu every year? Why do you think Covid19 is an exception?triathlon said:

Work on vaccines back the drawing board
this is what you do to protect yourself

Which is highly unlikely, I wish people like you would stop scaremongering, do you have children?
Which one will they work on a vaccine for?
they still haven’t got vaccines for any of these viruses and AIDS has been around for decades0 -
'Designed in a lab'..... nuff said. Most people breath via the nose so sipping water ain't going to help. Sticky tape on your glasses to stop 'particles' entering via the eyes - priceless. The internet at its best.silvertooth said:

If strong alcohol kills the virus, what about acetone??
I've just been doing my nails and it seems pretty powerful stuff!!How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -
It’s pretty much confirmed it was designed in a lab nowpaparossco said:

sticky tape around glasses will form a much better deal than the safety glasses many are buying which do not form a proper seal.
anyway it depends which mutation you come in contact with. The S strain is the first one but this new L strain which is going to be officially named COVID20 is more virulent
So the vaccine work is back to the drawing board? Will it mutate again and again?

Back on topic... Even Martin says a slow down of the housing market is likely on the home page.I was getting concerned as we have a buyer from last summer,( looong delay, long story) prices had gone up since in the area we are looking, and houses were selling quickly. I am now seeing hardly anything new and also some reductions. We are thinking of stepping off the ladder and back on at a later point.0
