Universal Credit mistake and not paid Urgent help

At your job centre appointment take your payslip and bank statement in to prove you haven't received any money since making your claim. You need to be prepared as possible. I'd definitely fight it as you are owed money for UC as you've followed their instructions. If it's possible get an advance payment.
As for your rent, do you have access to any credit to help pay for your rent? It may not be ideal, but I'd rather have a bit of debt than be behind on rent. I've actually used my credit card for my month of being unemployed and saved my wages towards rent for February as I know UC can take a while to come through.
UC and the benefit cap sucks, it puts people into debt and poverty. I would have been better off on housing benefit and JSA prior to the benefits cap. At least my full rent would be paid (same for you).0

Yes it looks so and my last day on the job was the 20th. So I've been paid in the past there on 25,27 and 20 as the final. Yes, the payment was earlier than 27.0

Receiving less housing element than your actual rent doesn't mean you're affected by the benefit cap. When privately renting you can't receive anymore rent than the LHA for your area and circumstances. Housing benefit and the housing element of UC are very similar.

Okay so it appears your normal payday is the 27th. In October that was a Sunday so you were paid early on the 25th. November 27th was a normal payday.0

Well when they introduced the housing benefit cap that means I get a lot less money than my actual rent or any other rent for the area! Private rented accommodation is a lot more than council properties - that don't seem to exist in my area anyway!
I don't see how you can get a house share in North West London Zone 3 for £107/week... which is my housing 'allowance', you may be able to get one for £120/week minimum, mine is £173/week - sharing a 2 bed flat as I feel too old to be sharing with 4 other people! Also they increased the age from 25 to 35 for the 'house share' rate.0

That's not correct. The claim for UC was made on 23rd December and they received their wages on 20th December but should have been 27th December.KatrinaWaves wrote: »Okay so it appears your normal payday is the 27th. What’s incorrect about what I put?
He has repeatedly been asked what his normal payday is from work, and the only answer he provided was ‘ive been paid 25,27 and now 20’ so I clarified to him that his normal payday appears to be the 27th and why.
What is incorrect? I’m not talking about UC I’m talking about his payday.0

Pls what could I do as clearly the actual amount I received in the assessment period do not reflect the earned income payable for that period. I was paid on 20th and job ended then and then claimed 23rd. My employer paid in arrears not in advance.since I new claimed I've not worked and been unemployed for that month period and they did not give my entitlement for it due to the conning from universal credit . I've rent to pay and my credit cards are almost empty and payments are just about covering the interest from it. I've had to wait 1month to find this out and have done all what they asked from the start .
 This is totally inhumane.0
