The Insolvency Service has a helpline. Ring it and explain the situation so you can hear it from the horses mouth as it seems only that will satisfy you that what we’re saying is correct.

And for crying out loud get out of this “contract” with Allay before you incur a massive liability.

Right I have just got off the phone to the insolvency customer service line.

They said I WILL NOT recieve any scary bills from the OR even though Allay hss got the ball rolling fot me to claim PPI, and Allay certainly won't charge me.

Basically what happens is any successful claims on PPI sold to be before I went bankrupt will automatically go to the OR, but there isn't charges towards me for that. And if some claims slip the net and come to me I have to notify the insolvency team straight away and it will all have to go back to the OR. Because some companys on a successful claim doesn't notify the OR, so I have to be honest and tell them.

I even told the insolvency service all the scaremongering that goes on here and she said its obvioisly people pretending to know everything but haven't a clue what they are talking about. I wish I rang them sooner because I might get a good nights sleep now.

I have been worried sick I will incur all these charges from either Allay or the OR but its all nonsence.

The only time I would get charges or chased for money is if.a successful claim came to me and not the OR and I didnt tell the OR, then and only then would I get chased for money.

So bottom line is I won't be a penny richer from these claims, but then I won't be charged a penny either.

Hope this clears up things for future readers of this thread.

    Thanks for reading.
  • No one said the OR would charge you.

It's Allay you made the contract with,so it's them who will chase you for the payment.

The OR have nothing to do with your claims company.

If you’re contacted by a claims management company

You do not need to process the claim yourself as this will be done by the Insolvency Service. If a claims management company contacts you and encourages you to make a claim you should decline and speak to the official receiver. You should do this even if they say your claim is not affected by your bankruptcy.
If you continue to make a claim after bankruptcy you may be responsible for paying the claim company’s fees and commission out of your own pocket. This is because your bankruptcy estate is entitled to receive all of the money.
For further information, contact the Insolvency Service PPI team.

Can I suggest responders here read some of the OP's posting history prior to this thread?

I really can't believe this thread has now run to four pages about a factual query which should have been answered in two or three posts at most.

The OP's other threads follow a similar pattern....

I'm not surprised at that because the insolvancy officer explained it to me that for example if a successful claim goes to me Alley will chase me for their percentage which I would have to pay out of my cheque or however I get payed. But and its a BIG but, as I am not allowed to claim any successful claim it will automatically go to the OR, and the percentage for Allay comes from that. That's how the insolvency officer explained it to me. And Allay insisted the wouldn't charge me if no money goes to me, so it sounds all legitimate to me.

One point I want to add is Allay informed me that at least 1 successful claim has gone on already via one of my claims but that it went to the OR so thats why I havent had any charges from Allay. Apparently it happened a few months ago. I asked them why was I not notified but they said they don't bother to do thar when the OR receives it instead, which I guess makes sense doesnt it?
