brettcha, its was Barclays PPI specialist team 0800 056 3485.

I was surprised to see all the letters start coming through my door, so rang the number on the letter. They basically said I nothing to lose to go through with this. I dont know what else to say.

So I wont get a penny? She seemed to think the PPI far outweighs the original debt by the amount of things I had PPI on. It wouldn't be fair for the OR to make a profit from this surely? Its money I payed out.

Which actually could be quite a problem, OR get the loot and you get the bill.

The OR can’t keep surplus funds once the debts and fees are paid, they have to be refunded. But like I said, there are a lot of fees so, the devil is in the details. You *may* get something back. Pretty unlikely though.

The woman in the Barclays team just said I'm likeky to get some seeing as I payed out so much on PPI, or that's how I interpreted what she was saying.

She said I got nothing to lose to carry on the claim, so Alley wont get anything from it. I didnt sign anything so dont know how they got the ball rolling to be perfectly honest.

Correct, you’ll get nothing but will still have to pay whatever percentage you agreed to the claims company out of your own pocket, so if the claim is tens of thousands then you could easily be talking about a ten thousand pound bill that you are liable for.

Will you be able to cover this?

You don’t need to have physically signed, you could have agreed online to use them.

If Barclays have instigated a complaint from Allay, that means that allay have your signature and your details which you have given them. As per an earlier post of mine, you may have clicked an advert on Facebook or something similar for a ‘free PPI check’ unknowingly signing up for Allay.

I forgot about allay’s bill, this has the potential to be a very expensive ball that’s been set rolling.
