Final bill was paid today, pilates classes paid for and surplus funds stashed into various savings accounts. End of month Tilly Tidy of £34.45 brings the OP account to £440.70, and with 3 months to go and only £60 until my target is achieved I feel rather pleased! I am going to keep on putting money into the account and then pay everything I have saved on December 29/30th 2020. That way I can start the new year with a new balance figure to work on
the balance will definitely start with an 8 by then too, instead of a 9! Very exciting!
Chickens/chicken accoms update: the breezeblocks and ballast arrived this morning. Large mesh panels to go under the floor to prevent anybody from digging in arrived yesterday. Hattie is now officially completely healed over and just has a few feathers to regrow. Mary's back is improving every day although I think it will be another month before it is properly fully healed. Her new feathers are coming in nicely though, which will help as it will make the wounds less visible and therefore less likely to be pecked when they go back together. Mary's 💩 is looking much healthier, and she is back to her usual mardy self, so I think this will soon be a blip in our past!

Great news on the mortgage, love the idea to start the new year with an '8'.
The new Chicken Ritz sounds fab, and good to hear that the ladies are doing well!If it's not adding up, compound it!2 -
Chicken Ritz 😆 my friend reckons I'll need a sign saying "foxes f**k off" which I love, and it would not surprise me if she turns up on my doorstep at some point with one she's painted for me because she does that kind of stuff lol 🥰
FIL sent over some money today - £50 for each of the kids, so one of my jobs tomorrow is to pop that in each of their accounts for them. I'm really proud of how money savvy they're growing up - much better than the financial upbringing either Manwife™ or I had. Medium Small was explaining to Small Small about supply and demand and how it influences value during lunch today 🤩

Question: anybody use a Dry:Soon heated airer who could give it a fair appraisal for me?Rule 7: If you're not changing it, you're choosing it.

Hi I have a Dri Soon and I love it. It does take more room than you think. You do need a cover for it to get the best out of it. I also put a unibond 360 dehumidifier under it to help absorb any moisture. I tend to lie things flat on it, rather than drape things over the bars. I hope that is of some help to you.2

We have a washer-drier, and I feel like it's very "Jack of all trades, master of none" particularly in terms of its drying capabilities but not limited to that! There's currently nowhere for a tumble drier to reasonably go, especially not in the kitchen but not really anywhere else either. If I could, I wouldn't have the washer in the kitchen either because the kitchen isn't exactly roomy, but again, lacking space. I'd put them in an outhouse except there's no power in the shed. The cupboard under the stairs outside has the boiler in it, and the one inside has the electric meter under a solid shelf. There is, I suppose, the possibility that we could put a drier on top of the shelf, but then we would lose the storage we currently have there, and I'm not knowledgeable enough about the safety aspects of putting a drier in a cupboard to know if that would even be safe.
Hence us looking at an airer, which can at least be stored away when not in use. There are bog standard ones in Aldi but I feel like a heated one would be better and faster. And if it's more energy efficient than the drier then that would be a bonus. Currently one load of washing has to be split into 2-3 loads of drying, each of which takes 3 hours to dry completely, so 6-9 hours total. I have not yet worked out how much electricity that is, but the Dry:Soon Deluxe airer is 300W.Rule 7: If you're not changing it, you're choosing it.
