Thanks for the lovely messages. Hopefully that'll be my last lockdown birthday 😂
I now have one year to become debt free (it's my ambition to be debt free by 36) but I don't think I'll quite make it in time for March 2022. I'm currently tracking for June '22 for my DMP and a bit after for my step dad's loan but I'm still happy with that.
Feel a bit better about the break up today. Still sad, but better than before.Total: £50,676 £0 🥳 The journey to debt freedom1 -

Happy Friday and happy signature update day! Pushing hard every month and taking advantage of my zero commuter costs while I can. I'm inching ever closer to that sub £20k total now.
16 months to go. 🤞🤞Total: £50,676 £0 🥳 The journey to debt freedom2 -
@pencakes26 late happy birthday! Sorry to hear about the ex, but better to break up civilly than have it hanging over you. Keep going, you're doing fantastically well love Humdinger x1

Nothing exciting to report but thought I'd do a little update.
Work is mad busy and stressing me out somewhat, I'm doing a lot of walking (I accidentally did 22km the other day 😂) and my flat got sold last week! I rent, and my landlord owned several properties which they've sold to a new company. Here's hoping they are just as nice and don't turf me out/hike up the rent! 🤞
I did a non-DFW thing yesterday and bought myself a bike. I could potentially use it for some commuting but it's mainly for pleasure. I live by the river and there's plenty of places to go out and about. I've wanted one for a while but the first lockdowns made it almost impossible. Hopefully it will arrive in time for this weekend and I can enjoy the nicer weather
Pay day on Friday and no chunky bills to come out this month (touch wood) and it's probably one of the last months where I can get away with paying nothing for travel/commuting so I will make the most of it debt and savings wise. Excitingly I've also booked an appointment at the hairdressers! It won't happen until the end of April so I can save for it, but it will be my first haircut since 2019!Total: £50,676 £0 🥳 The journey to debt freedom1 -
On the anniversary of our lives changing so dramatically, I thought I would stop to reflect on the lives lost, the hard work and sacrifice by so many.
And because I always try and be positive, I am grateful that I have a job, and home and the chance to sort my finances out.Total: £50,676 £0 🥳 The journey to debt freedom2 -
Happy Bank Holiday Monday to everyone - I hope you can all enjoy it where you can. I got to see friends and family in their gardens which was lovely. I'm not a very emotional person, but I cried when I was driving up to see my family - I hadn't seen them in over 6 months so it felt like such a moment. Anyone driving past me on the M1 must have thought I was a complete nutter 😂
Just updated my signature and DF countdown. 15 months to go
