Thanks everyone for your well-wishes and congratulations. It feels like such a turning point in my life.
Excited for next pay day when most of my money will be my own for once!Just the final amount to my step dad left to go now, but the weight off my shoulders is huge.Total: £50,676 £0 🥳 The journey to debt freedom1 -
Morning all, feels like it’s been a very long time since I stopped by, said hello and updated my signature. After years of pushing hard on my debt payments I’ve taken it a bit easier recently to give myself some breathing space. Just over £1500 to go now which I’d like to pay off in about 5 months, if not earlier.
Start my new job next week, feels like a long time coming but it’s finally here. The commute is going to be a bit of a heavy one but I am hoping to have some WFH flex to make that easier.
Right, time to go and get the sun tan on - I’ve picked the best week to have off between jobs!
Hope everyone is doing okTotal: £50,676 £0 🥳 The journey to debt freedom1 -
Congratulations I've followed your posts for 2 years and Im in a really similar position to you had over £30k of debt to pay off 2 years to go for me but its great to see it can be done

Hey everyone, hope you’re enjoying the bank holiday ☀️New job is going well, the commute is long but manageable… still haven’t 100% decided if I should move yet but no huge rush. I moved my tenancy agreement to a rolling contract so I’m not tied down which helps.I’m down to the final hundreds now with the money I owe family, and then I can officially join the debt free club. I’d like to start saving next but literally have no idea on how and where to start, aside from moving stuff into my regular savings account. Will make that my next project I think!I’ve enjoyed having a diary on here, might just keep it going even if it’s not technically a debt free diary anymore.Pencakes xTotal: £50,676 £0 🥳 The journey to debt freedom3

Just read your whole diary, well done, pretty impressive stuff with no stumbles along the way! Congrats on the new job, where might you have to move to? Nearer family? I'm a fair bit older than you but also live over 300 miles away from family - its tough!
You'll be able to change over to a savings diary soon enough!"You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "2 -
Just popping on to say hello to everyone. It’s been a while but I am debt free! It’s a great feeling, but sort of just happened so casually it didn’t feel real! It’s funny how you focus on something for so long that you just accept it as normality. I am slowly now switching to savings and building for my future which is a great feeling. I even have an ISA now!
Hope everyone’s had a lovely Christmas. Happy New Year!Total: £50,676 £0 🥳 The journey to debt freedom3 -

Thank you @LexieLou, that’s so kind. I’m super grateful to everyone that’s helped and for this whole process. It’s been really tricky at times but I’m proud that I made my way through it. 🤞🤞Total: £50,676 £0 🥳 The journey to debt freedom2
