A return to MSE with a DMP so I can be debt free

It's tough, it's January, dark, wet and miserable so we're bound to feel a bit down at the moment alongside what's happening in the world. But you do have your DFD to look forward to and nibbling away at the debts is going to bring that forward.pencakes26 said:It's hard to know what to write these days. Life is very much work, eat, walk, sleep. I wish humans could hibernate, it would make life so much easier!
I've been nibbling away at my savings and debts in between the larger payments I do so that's one positive. I keep daydreaming about being debt free too. 😂 I've realistically got about 18 months left of this journey to go so it's a long time day dream but I don't think ever let myself realistically imagine debt free life before!
Keep up the good work.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words. I know it's so hard for everyone but I really appreciate people checking in. When you live on your own pandemic life can be very lonely!
At least it is Friday and the sun is shining. Need to go for my daily walk shortly but I'm still half in my pjs 😂 I've had two video calls today too but luckily I'm wearing a jumper and hiding my lack of appropriate work wear!Total: £50,676 £0 🥳 The journey to debt freedom1 -
Hahaha we always joke about this in our team meeting as know a few colleagues who stay in pj's all day. Personally I have to get up, showered and dressed to make me feel ready for the day*Dad loan - £5300 - £7200

PJ bottoms, leggings and joggers - with something smart or a big jumper on top! That's my go to wardrobe these days. Comfort and warmth whilst looking respectable from the waist upwards is the key for me at the mo. My colleagues have no idea of what hides beneath the desk 😂Sarahwithlove said:Hahaha we always joke about this in our team meeting as know a few colleagues who stay in pj's all day. Pay day today! Phew!
A few bills paid, and a chunk to my step dad for that debt payment. Rent tomorrow and DMP payment the following Monday and I'm well into the new year of debt clearance. Gotta to push hard for that 4 figure total debt number this year, it's the only way! 🤞
Big shop night tonight too, will go a bit later as it seems much quieter then. Haven't driven my car in a while but it'll be nice to do something different 😂Total: £50,676 £0 🥳 The journey to debt freedom1 -
I haven't caught up on your diary for a while so great to see how well you have done especially on reduced pay. I feel for you living alone in a one bed flat in the current situation especially this time of year. Thank you. I won't lie, it's tough. It's mad to think how little I've seen other people in the last year. Luckily being allowed to keep a support bubble going has made such a difference. I see my OH twice a week which is my little luxury! We do want to live together eventually but that'll be post pandemic I think.enthusiasticsaver said:I haven't caught up on your diary for a while so great to see how well you have done especially on reduced pay. I think not having to pay commuting costs has helped a lot - I don't think I could have done so much if I had reduced pay and had to pay for trains.
Motivation is hard at the moment but I think everyone is in the same boat. We'll get there!Total: £50,676 £0 🥳 The journey to debt freedom0 -
