You need to include enough information so they can recognise who the appeal is from but I would have thought the PCN ref No. would do it. Wouldn't it include your VRM anyway. Leave it in about the sign - make them do some work - and just make sure that whatever you add does not give away the driver!

She has dementia and we have a blue badge for her although it was not in the car that day.

I am thinking of including this wording in my appeal as well in respect of my elderly relative -
"An elderly relative was a passenger in the car at that time. She was shopping at the time the ticket was issued. She suffers from dementia and has been given a blue badge for parking. The badge was not on display on that day as it was in another vehicle."
    Does this look OK?

    Remove:
The badge was not on display on that day as it was in another vehicle."

    Replace with:

''A copy of the Blue Badge is also attached in the interests of resolving the matter''.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Great, I have included a copy. i have the shopping receipt as well but I am thinking twice about this as it has exactly the same time as the PCN, would this be an issue?

Appeal has gone in. Clicked registered keeper on template and included appeal in box and PDF version in supplementary documents. Confirmation received in e mail box.

Good news! UKPC has cancelled the charge as my appeal was accepted! See, it does work! To anyone who has just received a PCN, follow the instructions in the Newbies section and appeal!

Brilliant result!  UKPC don't cancel many first try, so you did well!
