Always complain to the landowner, easiest by email, then you have a trail.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

JTOO one more thing to check that hasn't been mentioned. Does the windscreen ticket have the correct registration number on it. UKPC have a habit of getting this wrong.
You can take a slightly different approach if it is wrong.

The wrong registration makes no difference as they just check the photos when issuing an NTK

Yes but youreds has a good appeal template that saw UKPC off in these circs.

Hi again, any idea what wording I should use in the email to the landowner? I do not want to implicate myself in any way that would undermine my case.

You just complain and say something like:
We did this/that (your own words) in good faith, and my family and myself are furious that you appear to have appointed one of the most litigious and notorious ex-clamper firms here, to intimidate and ultimately to sue shoppers, yet it seems that your contract has included no 'customer service' consumer-focussed clause giving a right to veto PCNs, to the Store Managers, who have told us that they hate the regime and it is losing them custom in droves.

The Pets At Home Manager believed he could do nothing about it which is shocking, if true. You are our last hope and I sincerely hope you will step in and cancel it with your aggressive agent. Such firms offer nothing at all to consumers. We spend £xxx per month usually with these shops and will never return if this continues to court, and we will be telling all our friends and other pet owners to avoid this retail park as it is a no-go area. No wonder retailers are dying out, when landowners inflict these firms on shoppers.

Or similar...your own words if you prefer, but angry!

There is an entire ongoing (still current) thread about landowner complaints that's been running for years and that's why I link that thread in turn, in the first post of the NEWBIES thread. Lots of examples (read it from the end/most recent posts, of course as the thread is years old).

DO NOT mention the wrong registration, no tipping them off at all! Just attach a copy of the PCN and let the shht hit the fan & cross your fingers.

Probably a stupid question but should I give my name at the end of the email.

    You're right. It is.

If I were to receive a letter or email from a person or organisation that did not identify themselves I would be ignoring it.

Of course it is the keeper that writes that email/letter.

Doesn't that give evidence for the parking company? Is it worth the risk?

    What evidence?? What risk??

It tells them nothing that they don't already know.

Remember, the PPC have already written to the keeper.

Don't miss your deadline for sending the blue text template appeal - as already mentioned by Fruitcake in post #7 above. That too should be sent by the keeper.
