Sky Q LNB's have two outputs. Sky Q Hybrid LNB's have six outputs. No Sky Q quad LNB.0

as said before well aware sky q box is loaned.
under the old box you used to be able to use sky for free sat from sky ligit with fee or not (although used to remove recording function which was poor. do sky offer anything like free sat but on a q box not on a hd old box. as really like the q set up. would be happy to pay a small month charge for the loan of the q box to continue to watch tv through it as love the record functions from it.
if not will just have to try and get the basic package at the best price etc.
thanks for in info0 -

No such thing for a Q system, your best hope (if you really, really want to keep the box) is to do a deal at around £15 a month for Entertainment plus (if you want it) HD at £1 to £5 additional cost.0 -

Even a referbished one is going to appear weathered unless they paint them aswell which I doubt. Its going to look soiled.
sadly you'll be given whats available and I wouldn't be surprised if its a refurb, end of the day its a rental box which you don't own
I have no doubt sky have changed their terms for this reason, as it will save them as other poster mentioned a lot of money by doing this, as it puts the pressure on people cancelling to send them back or be charged for them, either way its a win win for sky0 -
Inner Zone, the LNB I have has 4 outputs, 2 go to the Q box, and the other 2 supply the old HD box. So it runs both the old style boxes and the new Q boxes perfectly.
I just wanted to put that out there so that customers reverting back to old boxes for freeview can quite easily without having to change dish or LNB or both.0 -

It's the WEEE regulations which have prompted this change and, as pointed out earlier, other providers have also adopted the rental model for the same reasons.0 -
all sky boxes used to come with 12 months warranty anyway, so you could easily get it fixed within that time,
sure after 12 months it was down to yourself to pay extra to repair it I got endless calls about takin insurance out on it even the remote control lol0 -

The first twelve months is also statistically the period least likely for the box to fail.
Sky would simply replace it with a refurb anyhow. They never offered a repair.0 -
either way you were covered for the first 12 months always
there was no way of sky of "absolving themselves of all responsibility for them" in the first 12 months0
