I've just found that mine auto-routed to my Spam folder in Outlook; so try looking in your junk or spam folders.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

In the process can we get rid of the rubbish down the right hand side entitled News Blog and Martin's twitter, both of which are weeks out of date. I'm fed up of seeing about the two headed giraffe and Martin's ta ta for now is pathetic and demeaning.0

I'll need to see the new forum before I decide what I want to hide.0 -
Will they reuse the old emoticons in the new format forum or just accept the default new ones that the new software will provide?0

Please use the forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com email address - sending PM's to myself or the team means if we are out of office/off sick your message won't be picked up by other team members. :money:
If I emailed you on 14/01/2020 do you think I should have received a reply by now?0 -

I imagine they'll use the default ones - maybe add some others. At least the new forum might give us a rolleyes emoticon.0 -
Will we still be able to get a daily digest of selected (sub)forums, as we have been able to for many years now?
I found this (3rd party) forum page that seems to list features of various forum software side-by-side;
https://tribe.so/forum-software-comparison-discourse-vs-vanilla
And it suggests "Vanilla Forums" do *NOT* have "Daily Digest" emails.
I rely on these daily digests for the competitions (I get an email once a day, after midnight, of the competition sub-forums, I can go through).
I'm always curious when people move to "new modern advanced" systems that turn out to have hardly any features and are really restrictive.0 -

If you get normal forum emails like private messages or other notifications you should be fine: this demonstrates that the email address works but you still might have a spam filter problem.
If you get nothing there are at least three possible causes:
1. you might have told the forum to use an email address you no longer use, which might not even exist any more.
2. a spam filter at your email provider might be eating them.
3. you might be using an email address that the MSE mail systems silently refuse to use. In this case even direct emails from you to MSE employees or from them to you won't be sent or received so it'll look as if MSE people are ignoring you. I encountered this with the anti-spam service spamgourmet.com that I've been using since 2001.
A general workaround is after checking spam filters sign up for an Outlook or gmail account, change the forum to use that and check that you get forum notifications. Those are famous enough that MSE is unlikely to block them. You'll need you current forum password to do that. If you don't know it, go to settings in the browser you normally use here and there will be a way to get it to show you the passwords its saved. After changing do something that should cause a forum email to be sent to you and verify that you do receive those.0
