I asked the exact same question in the "big" thread ... no response as far as I am aware. (Which isn't unusual for MSE).

Email received thank you and my email address is up to date, so presumably I don't have to do anything till the changeover, when, after logging in with my email address I will at that point have to change my password but not before. Is that correct please?
Also, will there be the opportunity to continue to use the old, green format which I am using at the moment and which I find very user friendly? Thank you0 -

The "old, green format" is what I also prefer too. Search for other forums which are powered by Vanilla software and I'm sure you will agree with me that they are a complete mess. I'm beginning to wonder if the MSE team want to lighten their workload by reducing the number of users, because such a bad appearance is liable to lose MSE quite a few members by using such alienating techniques as they are.0 -

Yes I’m also a little confused. The email does state “take action now”. I assume that if my email is correct then I need do nothing and only need to change password AFTER the new forum is up and running?0 -
Thinking more about the above, if the current password will not be transferred/recognised on the new forum then how do I log in to change the password as stated in the email?...or do I need to change my password now..0
