    When logging into the WiFi our old WiFi name is still showing up

    Yes, but all that shows is that the device you're using has remembered it. Try and login, and it will say Network Not Found, unless you still have it plugged in for some reason.

    Tell the device(s) to "Forget this Network"

    Hi,

    if your old router has been removed, then why is it still being 'found'?

    Hmmm no idea we have it still but it’s not plugged in

    I have unticked it now to stop it automatically trying to connect to it, we did a hard factory reset and yet it still came up

    A factory reset on the router won't make any difference to a another WiFi device. It's the devices which need to forget the old router.

    * I would suggest setting your new router to provide both 2.4 and 5GHz WiFi signals.
    * Set the 2.4GHz SSID to a unique value (e.g. My24WiFi)
    * Set the 5GHz SSID to a unique value (e.g. My50WiFi)
    * Set the 2.4GHz WiFi fixed to channel 1, 6 or 11. Use a WiFi scanner (e.g. on your phone) to see which of those is quietest, and use that one
    * Do the same for the 5GHz WiFi ... channel numbers start at 40 I think

    How to do the above should be able to be found via my previous post's link and/or the link in post #11.

    I'm sure you've solved the problem, but if you still happen to see the old WiFi on your laptop, make sure you don't have any WiFi repeaters/range extenders. Even if your main router is unplugged, they might still be broadcasting the old SSID.

    That only means that you've still got something plugged in.
    Any chance is it actually not your WiFi, but something similar?

    Have you tried rebooting the PC? Or, as said above, there may be a WiFi repeater on your network with the same SSID.
