Kez, there will be another list added for tomorrow but you only do what can manage.

Dogs walked, lunch scoffed and done a quick hoover through.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • Jayzee Thank you, that's what I thought; I can work on that basis.
Back to paid stuff now, so my time is a bit limited, but I have a DH that will provide some help and support.

While I'm here; do you people have preferred products for cleaning kitchen/bathroom, etc.?
I, eventually, want to reduce my cleaning cupboard to the essentials that can clean the house rather than loads of different products for things.

    Happy New Year!

I'm in but not here, but afar! :)

Welcome back Kaz and all newbies.

Funniest sight so far, on the beach, a very large Russian / German, some how fitting into a very small kids swimming ring in the shape of a flamingo, and about 20 mins later, having to be rescued out of it but 2 equally larger blokes, who finally deflated it to get him out, just before a local was going to puncture it / cut it with large machete type knife.

Wm was on, all outside drying, will get back in tomorrow morning
    Watered garden
    Rubbish out

Best wishes to you all hugs / sticks etc xx

Been to PO and paid rent / topped up phone.
Called at Mr C00p with a listie - that's lunch and tea today & tomorrow sorted.

Had lunch and a lovely chat with DS :D

Brought all washing in (at varying stages of dryness) and did another laundry shuffle. My clothes prop has broken in to two pieces :( Something else to go on the shopping list that has yet to be written.

Going to do adminny stuff this afternoon - birthday cards, shopping lists, etc.

DS took his chocolate and new socks upstairs. Packaging has been recycled. Every Little Helps.

    Afternoon all

Round, you’re very busy, hope having Monday off is suiting you! x

I’ve just had a quick break for lunch, dailies have been done, wm run but it’s making a weird noise and sounds like it’s on the blink, grrr. Local appliance chap rung and he will come tomorrow to have a look at it. Hope it’s nothing too serious (or expensive).

Dailies were done before paid stuff, I will fly in the kitchen when I finish in a couple of hours.

    Back later x

OH and I got married .. 2 years in May.. - CONGRATULATIONS!

Squeak is 9, and we have 3 younger beasties.. Dot (8), Pixie (6) and Twinkle (3) .. all girls because OH is in fact a woman! Lol, I think maybe there were 2 or 3 little ones last time I really had the hang of the thread.
DS1 moved back home in August, DD2 moved home in September and managed a week before she moved out, DD1 separated from her partner in August too.. so it's been a year of big changes for everyone. So how many do you have at home now?
I have just got 5 kittens.. That is just madness, one is loopy, 2 would be chaos more than that well ....
John the immortal fish finally died. We had a red tailed shark called Sharky who was about 15 when we lost him, very unusual
I have grandbeasty 6 due in May Ooh thats lovely

Checked DD passport, it runs out at the end of Aug. When did they stop adding the extra time on renewals? You used to be able to renew up to 6 months in advance and keep the same date. Apparently now you can't. Written on calendar to complete in April.

Work was ok today. OH came with me and opened the shutters, they are terrible to get moving. Then he went and got me breakfast so he's in the good books :D
Nipped to the post office, then discount shop and the butchers when I finished. Ham ribs simmering away for soup, WM is on and I've started dismantling the tree. Not bad I only finished an hour ago.
Just decluttering a cuppa then I'll get back to the tree.

HHC starting at 6pm if anyone wants to join in.

Welcome back kazmeister, I remember you.

Started the day well on the scales, I've lost one whole pound so maybe my life is getting a bit more back to normal after Christmas slobbing.
    - Put slow cooker on as we have friends to dinner this eve
    - stopped off on the way to the gym to buy 4 plants, hoping their sale was still on. Sadly only 1 now in the sale, but got the other 2 anyway as they fit our current re-vamp of some of the front garden.
    - did Body Balance and zumba at the gym.
    - dropped car off for service.
    - went to visit MIL in hospital. She was pretty tired and unresponsive; we asked to see a doctor but told they were all busy, but "isn't she going home tomorrow?" said the nurse. News to us. Mr N rang the care home and it was apparently news to them too. 10 mins later he had calls from the discharge facilitator, care home x 2, to say that she was indeed coming home tomorrow. Left hand, right hand - shall I introduce you?
    - Mr N continued de-Christmasing the lounge/diner and getting it ready for guests. Now hoovered and table laid, whole room smells of polish which even overpowers my lilies.
    - I did the kitchen: wudupa, cleared worktops, put loads of unwanted leaflets etc into recycle box, started organising dessert.
    - went to collect car.
    - Wrote two 'thank you' letters for presents.
    - activated my new bank card.
    - sorted out a load of post.
    - Let in the builder and his mate who have come to do a final check to ensure the kitchen floor is dry enough to have the new floor laid on Saturday. They didn't look impressed at the granite worktops. Or the thickness of the floorboards they have to match. Or the units their manager agreed to move, or the vinyl their manager agreed they would lay...........

Right, must focus on dinner now.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
