    Afternoon all

I’m here! Washing machine is on load 5 since being installed yesterday, and the pile doesn’t look like it’s gone down at all... although I have done bedding and towels and they have been washed, dried, aired and put away so I suppose it’s not that bad. This morning I have....

    Done food shop
Took car for wash and clean
    Took donations to charity shop
    Collected prescription
Bought yarn for a knitting project.... even though I promised not to buy any until some of the stash has been used. Bad BadCat!

DH has been busy with the housework while I’ve been out, all is looking pretty good. This afternoon I have bins to empty and wash and then I plan on sitting down for a bit with the paper, more laundry shuffling will no doubt be done later on.

Have a good afternoon all x

Inspired by Fayolle, I have sorted the seeds in the greenhouse. Just having a cuppa then I promise to spend at least 15 minutes on the presentation.

  • Hi all

Had the BD round yesterday, questioned everything, over thought everything and generally gave myself a right mental beating. Managed to strip the bed and wash it and some paid stuff that was it.

Not slept brilliant due to the rain. I had new Windows fitted before Christmas and the one in my bedroom is leaking and dripping  will add it to Monday's phone to complain list.

WM is on its second load, dishes are done, DD is studying and OH is sleeping. I'm going to chill for and hour before work.

  • Helloooo.. Been lurking again for a small while, life was.. hectic!

Am currently on a mahoosive purge.. of everything!:D

Am meeting with a council official early next week as being offered a house nearby to where we currently live!! :j:T:j.
So so excited, yet very nervous at the same time.
This has been the very first place that we could really call home, it was our safe haven, though I know it’s time we moved on.

Want to make sure I leave this place sparking so I shall be following lists & adding more on besides..

Thankoooo so very much for all your inspiration, even when the big black dog attempted to chew on my rear, you guys kept me moving.. laughing and cleaning! :smileyhea

  • Morning all

DS1 is doing well, had a checkup at hospital yesterday, and we go back next Tuesday to find out the plan for the next round of chemo. Managing the 26 prescriptions he brought home is a challenge and getting him to take the 8am ones is tricky, but we are getting used to it.

Work have given me some paid leave which I didnt expect, this will really help but doesnt make any difference to the fact that DH has had over a month off unpaid.

We have been to empty DSs room in his shared house which was a little sad, all the bits and pieces we brought home are tidied away, house is fairly presentable, washing blowing in the breeze. Some paperwork and finance spreadsheets to do next.

Glad to hear your DS is doing well YSL.

I spent 15 minutes on the presentation then DH got home from work and I went through the stuff with him.

Have decided that the rest of the day is for listening to football and relaxation.

  • I'm vaguely plodding about, thank you, Iona. I didn't expire as half expected, but have singularly peed off work by my absence. Seems that it was 'just' a virus that's hit with all the subtlety of a breezeblock in a boxing glove, courtesy of Humira and steroids.

A scheduled trip to the hospital has resulted in a very sore foot (had a big old needle and more steroids shoved in, as it's rather borked at present), referrals for physio for that and my back/neck, a referral to a specialist foot clinic, a decision to decide in three months whether I should change to another biologic at that point, as Humira isn't doing enough and a referral for a bone density scan due to vitamin D deficiency (severe), bone pain and a history of lots and lots of steroids. I am not expecting to have a job by the end of this - but then again, I declared my condition upon application, so that'll then mean enlisting the union to ask them some rather tricky questions.

Combined with the stresses of the festive period, this means that I've actually got a black dog lurking in the shadows for the first time in years. We talked about it a little earlier - he agrees that his contribution is key, as he's behaved shockingly over the time - but I haven't been able to go to sleep as a result.

The kitchen, however, is clean. I have a feeling that this is largely due to my not eating much. Not that you can see it on me, but I take the small victories where I can.

I'm tired. Physically and mentally, I'm tired of this.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
