Goal for today is to have a shower, wash my hair and put on a clean nightie. WM x 1 feels doable too

    Showered
    Washed hair
    Cleaned teeth
    Wearing clean underwear & nightie
Stripped sheet and pillow cases from my bed
WM set as high as I could get it and swishing

    byebye bugs :D

Also had a long chat with DS about serious things like F1 and politics :D Then DS went to Mr C00p for me with a listie. Made me laugh when I received a text 'Where does one find custurd?' Posh grammar, crap spelling and him with an 'ology' too :rotfl:

Really struggling to contribute at the moment so I'm sorry about that. I seem to spend most of my time clearing up after Layla who has a tummy problem but we've put down plastic sheeting and dustsheets so I no longer have to scrub carpets. Got a bit tired of that.

And putting Christmas away. We're still surrounded by lighting festoons and the junk I cleared out of the attic that's theoretically on it's way to the tip. Just as well - by getting rid of a big pile of stuff I found the box of spare dustsheets which was just as well yesterday - see paragraph 1.

Did the shower room yesterday and I'll need to vacuum the dining room later when the last of my windfall branch Christmas stars leaves the house. It's never taken me this long before to clear up after 25 December.

I'll catch up with Freds asap, but good news all round - I've lost 1.1kgs since New Year's Day.
    Better is good enough.

Round, you've made me laugh. Hope you feel better soon.

Dailies are done and I've done a quick hoover through. From the list I have vacuumed soft furnishings everywhere except the living room. Will do that if I have time before the paid stuff but need to take dogs for another walk first.

Lunch enjoyed and I've completely cleared up so place still looking great.

Going to make a cup of tea and wait for OH to come home then ask him to hang a picture in the dining room.

    Have a nice weekend

    Well I've done very little..

I rptftyyyyy (Ty Nutkin!) I posted an ebeast parcel, bought 2 lettuces and did 2 school runs. I got a call from school while I was dropping Twinkle off at nursery so I bobbed in to the office. and Squeak had had a collision at lunch time and broken her glasses so I dropped those in to the optician on the way home from nursery and collected Boogs prescription .. half an hour later I got a call saying her frame was discontinued so we had to pick a new frame.. they had a pink version in stock so Squeak said she would just have that. she is due an eye test in 8 weeks anyway so it's not for long.

I really need more sleep.. I've had no more 4-5 hours of very broken sleep for a week I am utterly shattered.

Nice to see you back with us, HB. Sorry to hear that Layla has a poorly tum.

I'm cheering you on from the side-lines :T

Thank you, round - it worked :D

We had a lovely time at the panto last night in Millennium City (not Town, if you spotted that news item earlier in the week ;)) and didn't get home until late, but it must have relaxed me because I didn't wake up until 9.00 this morning

However, I made up for the late start. DH was out for most of the day so I
    - cleared all the books off the shelves in the study bedroom, dusted the books and the shelves, and put them all back neatly
    - tidied my bedroom
    - removed spidery webby things and dusted everywhere else upstairs
    - blitzed the bathroom
    - cleaned the kitchen thoroughly, including the sink
    - hoovered the house from top to bottom
    - steam mopped the kitchen and hallway
    - did WMx3
    - did 5MI = 5 minutes' ironing (2 pillowcases and a cotton teatowel)
    - went to the tip to dispose of the dead kettle according to EU regulations (i.e. not throwing it in the bin with landfill stuff)
    - delivered an enormous box of packaging materials to the hospice trading centre (they advertise the most valuable things donated to their charity shops on eee-By-Gumboots)
    - took Rosie for a walk up the very big hill
    - had a routine blood test
    - put 3 bags of books in the back of my car ready for delivery
    - delivered a separate bag of books to the church library. The piles on the DR table are depleting :)
    - received a phonecall from DS1 just as we were starting tea, asking for babystting (for DGD1+2, not him!)
    - went to choir practice
    - phoned DD about DGS2's birthday present

All in all, an excellent day :D
Tomorrow I'm out on a course (it includes a delicious lunch) so I need to be up early to walk Rosie before I go. I shall not be joining HB in the slinky corner.

Any news of Jojo? - just wondering how she is x

Hope everyone has a good weekend and remains unflooded xx
  • Morning, all,
Hubby's waiting for various deliveries today so the house is a little upside down - thankfully, I'm going out so he can deal with it instead.

    Have great weekends everyone.

    Morning all.

Littleydog wanted a wee at 6am but I went back to bed and have only just had first cuppa.

Just me and the dogs today, there's a gale blowing outside and I need to crack on with my presentation this weekend. Will alternate with flying. Quite pleased with what I've achieved this week.

    Have a great day everyone.

Finally made it back on and it’s afternoon already.

I’ve done a few jobs this morning - sat with DH and finally got him to hit the submit button on his tax return. It was in the hope that he would then clear his diy stuff as promised from the back bedroom so that I could build the Swedish furniture for it. No chance - he has retreated to the shed to do “something quick”...

I have turned out a box that was lurking under the stairs only to find it contained more of DD’s now defunct PE kit. That is now in the washing pile to be offered elsewhere once clean.

Downstairs vacuumed. Wm x 2 done. I need a plan for this afternoon - it may involve sorting out my seeds in the greenhouse :D .

GWS vibes to all poorlies - human and poochies alike.

    Hello :hello:

    I am dressed :T

I've made my bed, fed the birds, put out the rubbish and recycling, and WM x 1 has just finished swishing.

Three pieces of litter fluttering about the garden - binned.

    Baby steps :D
