Dale and I had a takeaway relapse - of the worst kind. You know the ones where its 11pm and you really should go to bed but you're peckish and there's nothing in and ......the rest is history. Damn. Although we've made a pact of no more takeaways now so hopefully we will remind each other of that next time!

bought bread/milk = £3 at our rip off corner shop - gotta go into town for a few bits later but hopefully will manage to keep it under £10

well ended up putting off going into town until tomorrow so spent nothing - always a good thing.
decided on a news years resolution - BE POSITIVE. Definitely need to start being happy in the here and now - or reminding myself that I am happy I guess. Cos I am, I just always have that oooh, in 6 months time we'll be on holiday or oooh in ayears time we'll be doing this. Gonna start counting my blessings in the here and now.

Hi daisy - thanks for reading! glad you're enjoying it.

had to pay for the boys football today (£40 for the month). Neither of them are that interested - they enjoy it but the just play around rather then actually play football - but dale wont let me stop it. its a dad thing I guess - his boys have to play football. So that £40 today for the sake of letting them pretend to aeroplanes in a sports hall

bought todd a french stick pizza in town today and bought some grocery bits. spent more than I wanted definately at £15. Also blew the budget elsewhere but thats abit of a long story so will s#go off and adjust my sig and then come back and all will be revealed!!

Morning all - little bit of news for you.

I think we're going to try for another baby - eeek!!

A friend of mine has just found out she's pregnant and it set me thinking seriously about our family. The plan was that we would try for another baby after we've moved -which could be any time within the next 5 years depending on house prices/the perfect house coming up etc. But there are two reasons why thats not ideal - 1) we didn't want to have a huge gap between children. As our older two are so close in age (18 mths between them) they play together and are into similar things but this 3rd baby is definately going to be the baby of the group. Even if we got pregnant straight away the youngest would be nearly 5 when we had new one and that seems like a big enough gap to me already. If we left it another 5 years then we'd practically have 2 teens on our hands and another baby. Not what we want at all.
    2) when we move house in all likely hood I'll need to be working in order to afford it. Therefore it makes sense to have baby in the time we're still in this house, saving up, as we can afford for me to be at home with little un but by the time she's outgrown her nursery we will hopefully have saved up our £50,000 deposit be in a good financial position to move.
If that all makes sense? When i was thinking about it it just sort of clicked into place - although I'm still abit apprehensive and unsure its the right thing. We're happy as we are and a new baby is definately going to affect the things we can do with the boys ie trips to the cinemas, themeparks etc. In all honesty this 'last try' is a try for the baby girl that I've always hoped to have. But of course, we could have boy number three. Still, I'm sure he'd still enrich our lives and we'd adore him like we do our other boys so it seems like a risk worth taking.
I'm abit all over the place at the minute. Half of me is excited at going back to baby stage again and half of me is dreading it.

Oh forgot to explain - the overspend I was referring to was £20 on pre/antenatal vitamin, folic acid and an ovulation guide thingy to help me work out my cycle - which is completely messed up by the coil.

Generally, financial though I think we will be fine. Once the initial outlay on buggy/cot/clothes I'll be breast feeding which is free of course, and extra child benefit/tax credits should cover nappies etc.

havent been anywhere to spend anything today - yey. Made a chicken pie for tea which was lush but prob not very money saving as I had to buy more chicken. The chicken I was intending to stretch over 3 meals got wolfed down in one!
