Rubbish - the T&C's are not clear, the CS advisor's on the phone said it was OK, and the IT system allowed it.

The T&Cs that I downloaded state:

....You can hold one by yourself or jointly with one other person....

You must have downloaded a different document.:rotfl:

Karma for me, after my exploits with YB a couple of years ago (although in my defence those YB/CB T&Cs definitely weren't as clear as these are - in my opinion!).

Managed to open the ISA variant an hour or so ago, but not the standard one. Not sure what time it was pulled? Maybe if I'd done them the other way round I'd have bagged the standard one.

    Never mind.

Saying you can hold one doesn't exclude holding two. Saying you can hold a maximum of one would do. It's not specific enough, and that's going to be exploited.

And that's not even including what people have apparently been told- quite frankly, if I'd been told this morning by Ford Money staff that I could open several, I would have.

Frankly what on earth were they doing for the last year in terms of getting the terms clear given they are dated June 2016?

No, you have inserted a mental comma that doesn't exist in the published T&C's.

If it was written "You can hold one, by yourself or jointly with one other person" then you'd be correct - but you aren't. People have lost millions of pounds over a misplaced comma :)

I was told as long as you've made the payment before 4pm, it will appear today.

I made payments of £250 into each of my RS & RS ISA today at 13.30. Neither is showing yet.

At least I managed to open one of each. Helped my husband to open RS ISA & suggested he wait for account to be opened so he (I:o) could avoid having to input all the data again as a 'new customer'. He just tried to open the RS and its already been pulled:(

Westie - you called up so I understand your line of thought (even though you must have suspected it was poor and wrong advice).

Others on here have tried to take the proverbial and in this society we live in will no doubt already be threatening God knows what to get something for nothing.

It seems it still stands that (now) Ford are being true to the original one per customer. A line that was pointed out on here hours ago and one that as a guide on here am surprised you didn't suspect you might have to follow.

No not at all, like I have said I did question the advisor on the phone a few times and she confirmed that I could open 10 of them if I wish, and I wasnt the only one this was told too, yes, I did think that it could have been a mistake, but she advised me that she was 100% sure that it was possible.

As a board guide, I have to be impartial and keep an eye on the threads, and report as required, I'm confused what you think I should be following??

I am following the information given to me on the phone, confirmed and explained in detail on more then one occasion during the 15 minute call I made, asking the advisor if she was sure that I would be able to open another Regular Saver and she wasnt misunderstanding me and thinking I wanted the ISA version.

    Her conversation was like this...

Advisor: "You can only fund the accounts with £250 a month, this is from the date you opened and funded the account which will be today, so the next payment can hit the account on the 22nd June,"
Me: 'So the maximum I can pay into this account is £3000"
Advisor" Yes the maximum amount per account is £3000 regardless if its the Regular Saver ISA or Regular Saver, but you are able to open more then one account as long as you dont pay more then £250 in to each one per month"
Me: Is this for the ISA version as I dont have one of them and not going to open one as I am a non tax payer"
Advisor: No you can open as many of the regular saver accounts as you wish and the same for the ISA"
Me: So you could put the whole 20k ISA allowance into eight ISA Regular Savers"
Advisor: Yes as long as you havent already opened and funded a ISA this tax year and your 20k allowance is spread over cash and S&S ISAs' so you will need to take this into account"
Me: So just to confirm, I can open multiple Regular Saver accounts as long as I only put £250 in a month, are you sure"
Advisor: I am 100% sure that you can, you can open 10 if you wish, did you want me to do it now for you"
Me: 'No thank you I will open them online as I am in the doctors at the moment"
Advisor "Not a problem, you already have your customer ID and you have already opened up the flexible saver and Regular Saver, I can confirm your account numbers if you wish"
Me: "Yes Please as I have only the reference numbers"
Advisor: "they are xxx and for the reference on the account you are able to put just the first three letters of your surname if you cant fit it all in,"
Me: "Thanks for that information I will amend my faster payment details to the new account number rather then the reference number ready for the next payment next month"
Advisor: "Dont forget to put your surname on the reference as well"
Me: I won't and just before I go, can I just confirm that you are recording this call, and can I take your name for reference"
Advisor: "of course my name is Julie and yes we do record our inbound calls"
Me: "Thanks for your help Julie, I appreciate all the information you have given me today, and I will open another Regular Saver when I get off the phone"
Advisor: "No a problem, you are welcome, could I please ask if you are willing to partake in a quick phone survey after the call"
    Me: Yes not a problem,"
Advisor: "Thank you, and goodbye have a good rest of your day"

I then was transfered to a automated call where I had to press buttons about the service I received from 1 - 10 where 10 was good.

Things are open the change and I wont be pursuing it further if they do close additional accounts but I have only followed instructions given when asking for help in relation to the payment reference. If there was no issue, my surname was shorter I would have never made the call.

With due respect, getting in early for £150 a time switches is worth more than losing a measly 1 year regular saver at 4%... ;)

The £500 I sent today appeared just after 5pm in the flexible saver so have sent £250 to each Reg Saver and ISA Reg Saver but advised will not be credited until tomorrow ( 23rd)
SO are set up to be credited from 23rd June....23 is OK ??

It said this to me also but then when I went back to my account list the money was already in the regular savers.

ALL at 4 % ?????? Or one Reg ISA at 4% and any others at their lower rate

I have just phoned to check this as I was told that you could open as many of the regular ISA accounts at 4% to use your allowed £20K allowance.

However, within their ISA wrapper you can only have one regular saver ISA at 4% and the balance of any other funds you want to deposit into the cash ISA will need to be invested in any of the other 3 ISA offerings they have available. Not what I was originally told.
