Re: Reg Saver: I've just sent a test amount (using the app ref + surname) which I'll check has been allocated tomorrow. I assumed I should be able to send an additional amount to make up the £250?
Have opened the RS ISA too - which appears on the dashboard but not received the confirmation email.Free thinker.:cool:0 -
According to the Ford Money home page, the 'Regular Saver' is currently not available due to unprecedented demand!Wonder if they are hurrying to change the T&C's just like Tesco did when people stampeded for their account when they launched the guaranteed 3%....
Damn, I should have charged them for the advice in my post #5691 - now they've gone and used it without paying me a penny
I just hope they also go along with "honouring the applications already made":)"In the future, everyone will be rich for 15 minutes"0 -

What you and others are attempting to do is shameful.
Attempting???
It was only what was told when making a query regarding the reference number needed on the payments.
That said I did read the T&C's and no where does it say you can only open one regular saver, it does say that you can open one in either sole or joint names...
I did read these before I applied as this is what is expected of customers when you open accounts I even saved both copies of the T&C's/Summary to my computer for record, (in case they are changed, this has happened in the past, with switching incentives)
I have not done anything more then following on what was told to me via a phone conversation.
Maybe Ford should have put something on their systems that automatically knows when a RS has already been opened or funded just like Santander does.
This is not the first time a bank or BS has made a mistake and underestimated the power of the consumer, I think I got £500 from Clydesdale/Yorkshire when they also failed to mention one account per person.

Rubbish - the T&C's are not clear, the CS advisor's on the phone said it was OK, and the IT system allowed it.Do Money Saving sites make you buy more bargains - and spend more money?0 -

Only time will tell, Im not fully understanding why they didnt think it would be popular, even at one per person its higher then the market at the moment apart from those few at 5% (Nationwide flex, HSBC, FD, and M&S) and its the best rate without having a current account.
I suppose if they do close down the additional accounts I will revert back to Virgin Money which is also in the pipeline at a not so shabby 2.25% (9 accounts and counting)

Westie - you called up so I understand your line of thought (even though you must have suspected it was poor and wrong advice).
Others on here have tried to take the proverbial and in this society we live in will no doubt already be threatening God knows what to get something for nothing.
It seems it still stands that (now) Ford are being true to the original one per customer. A line that was pointed out on here hours ago and one that as a guide on here am surprised you didn't suspect you might have to follow.0 -
That had me puzzled too. If the initial payment is made on 22nd May, you would surely expect to make the next payment on or after 22nd June?
Was told that the funding month runs from today 22nd - 21st, so the next payment into the account is 22nd June onwards.
I was even told that I could open an additional account and wait till the 1st to fund it if I wanted the transfer to happen on the 1st like my other RS, (as this is within the 14 day allowed) the account will still mature on the 22nd May 2018, but means I can stagger the payments around my payday and to coincide with maturing account with Lloyds and HSBC next month, (they get funded on the 1st and mature on the 28th, thus 13 payments in each, I will miss the 5%/6% though)

Shameful ? Seriously ?
Perhaps you could read my post #5656 and see that I have read the T&C's and beleive I have understood them in the same way as others on here have. And perhaps you could be a little less pompous in tone?
If you walked into Tescos and they are selling tins of baked beans on offer for 1p would you buy one, or buy enough for your reasonable needs in the near future? Nothing shameful in that at all."In the future, everyone will be rich for 15 minutes"0 -
The £500 I sent today appeared just after 5pm in the flexible saver so have sent £250 to each Reg Saver and ISA Reg Saver but advised will not be credited until tomorrow ( 23rd)
SO are set up to be credited from 23rd June....23 is OK ??0 -
It's none of anyone's business how many accounts people tried to open - good luck to them is what I say. It's not shameful at all. People should try to be less judgemental.0
