I can see the bonus being removed very shortly. Have sent my passbook to Leeds to have it updated and asked for clarification about this.
I noticed this. Until the payment of interest on 31 October, it used to show the interest rate of 1.25% without the bonus of 1.8%. By contrast, Issue 4 still shows the interest rate (0.5%) without the bonus (1.8%). I am expecting an announcement about Issue 3 soon.0 -

How long must I wait to switch a current account?
I already have a first direct account with regular saver and want to get the M&S savings account as well, rather than just open an M&S account could I open a current account with another bank then switch so I get the M&S switching bonus. After opening the account with another bank how long must I wait to begin the switch?
Thanks in advance for any responses0 -

you may need to wait for the card to arrive as I remember M&S wanting the account details and the pan number, if you mean you want to get the regular saver with M&S then you will need to switch to be able to open one now, and hold 2 active DD on the current account.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Banking & Borrowing, and Reduce Debt & Boost Income boards. I got my book back today, and no mention of the change, even though I asked for clarification, and the book has no mention of the rate change, like you can see online.
Just need to wait to see what comes in the post next month, but I have also noticed the change of interest displayed online so maybe it will get pulled, last ditch attempt to maximise the balance in the next few months then, continue with issue 4.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Banking & Borrowing, and Reduce Debt & Boost Income boards. So I could sign up for a current account with tesco then as soon as I receive my debit card I'll be able to switch that account to an M&S current account and receive the switching bonus (assuming I have 2 DDs)?0

Yes you can. Open two Tesco Current Accounts and switch one of them, then you'll still have a Tesco current account that pays 3% interest. You'll also be able to open another current account to replace the one you've switched.
You'll also be able to open the Tesco Internet and Instant Savers to use for your DDs.0 -

I didn't need a debit card when I switched from TSB Classic to M&S. The first switching call to M&S asked for the debit card number, however when I phoned back it was confirmed that I could switch an account to M&S that didn't have a debit card.0 -
May I ask a daft question? I looked at the Nationwide T&Cs, but it didn't answer my query.
With a joint Nationwide FlexPlus current account (but no single account), could we each open a Flexclusive Regular Saver? Or just one of us?0 -

3. You can only be the first named account holder of one Regular Saver or Flexclusive Regular Saver account at any one time, which can be
held in sole or joint names.
I'm reading that (and the other t&cs) as meaning you can have an account each or two joint accounts so long as the first named account holder is different on each one.0
