Regular Savings Accounts: The Best Currently Available List!

If you scroll down it does say £10 - £4k
It certainly does - I either missed that or the website has changed again in the days since I postedbut that doesn't seem right because otherwise its the same as the old regsaver. Might be a mistake.
That's not true - the old (now closed to new applicants 3.1% regular saver) had a limit for paying interest of 750k.The last few Nottingham Reg Savers have all been branch only, but that only means you have to go to a branch to open one or part withdraw. You can always pay in by SO/FP and they are happy to close them by post.
Up to 3 or so years ago they restricted some of their better accounts to post code.0 -
Hi Folks,
I have completed this weekend's update for the first page of this thread.
- Nottingham BS Regular Saver Issue 1 replaced with Issue 2 (post 2) with lower interest rate of 2% and they have introduced an account balance limit of £4,000
- Nottingham BS Sports Saver replaced with Go for Gold Saver (post 3) paying lower interest rate of 3%, balance limit of £4,000, matures 31st October 2017
- Barnsley BS account removed from the list as they have been re-branded as Yorkshire BS (post 3)
I will do another update next weekend.

I have been into the branch to open one of these today.
I asked the question about an account balance limit and the adviser said that there was no limit with this account. He gave me the branch leaflet and it does not mention a limit, just that you can save up to £250 per month and that you get a statement every year!0 -

It's another example of sloppy copy and pasting of templates for other accounts on Nottingham BS's website. They do very good deals on regular savers (with some very innovative account names) but they're known to be sloppy with the details on their website. In this case it looks like they've copied the page for the Go for Gold reg saver and forgot to edit the £4,000 limit out. They also still mention deducting 20% tax from interest on most pages. The Regular Saver issue 2, as with the issue 1 has no balance limit.0 -

Thanks for the heads-up0 -
Has anyone recently opened a Santander RD over the phone ? Read some horror stories a few months ago of interrogations and how long it took !! Wondering if a trip to a branch is the easiest option..0
-
I remember it taking a while. 30 minutes on hold and another 15 or so as the person read out every line of the T&C. No interrogation or hard sell though.0
