    Quick question regarding the Nationwide Flex Regular Saver;

Is it okay to skip a month? i.e. pay nothing into the account for a month...

Do the T&Cs say you must make a deposit every month?

Nottingham Building Society have launched a new regular savings account, called Sports Saver, paying 4.00% until 30 September 2017.

You can pay in between £1 - £250 per month and save a maximum of £4,500 whilst the account remains open (opening deposit minimum of £10).

You can also make more than one payment in a month if you want to, but you must not pay in more than £250 in one calendar month.

You have to open it in branch.

The account also matures on 30 September 2017.

No withdrawals allowed unless special circumstances.

Please see here for further information.

Nationwide do the Flexclusive 5% reg saver if you have a current account with them..

They also do a 2% reg saver open to all. Anyone know if you allowed to have both? Or just one.

Do the T&Cs of either of the accounts say you can't have them both?

    Thanks Kazza,
I have a branch in the next town, do you know if once I make the initial payment I can then make future deposits by direct debit, or do I need to physically visit the branch each month ?
    Thanks HC

You can pay by regular Standing Order or set up a manual bank transfer as you like.
Nottingham do not do Direct Debits.
You can make multiple payments each month so long as the total does not exceed £250.

Thanks Kazza .. you are always on the ball with these regular savers offered by Notts BS.

The Branch stipulation is a real restriction for some .. more than 100 miles away in my case. Pity they will not permit postal applications unless a poster knows a really friendly branch?.
