This one looks good from Skipton. 3.5% no min., can vary min each month and in the event of having to close the account you get interest paid up to date (ie there's no bonuses or early closure penalties).

Rate reduction for their Monthly Saver.
From 01/01/2014 the bonus rate is reduced from 2.50% to 2.00%.
The interest rate including bonus is reduced from 2.60% to 2.10%.
The maximum monthly subscription remains at £1000.0 -

I have carried out this weekend's update.
I have added the details about the impending interest rate cut for the Beverley BS account. It is still temporarily closed to new applicants.

The Bev are unusual in allowing such a high monthly limit, in my experience. shame that the rate is not great though.0

Barclays Monthly Saver is apparently no longer available to new applicants as of 3 Dec 2013

Just want to update. I got my passbook after waiting for about six weeks by post. So yes you could open it via post by downloading the form and then send it:
- Your certified ID
- Original Proof of Address.
to their head quarter in Nottingham
Make sure you send the above documents you do not repeat the same mistake that I have made which cause delay.0
