Hi Everybody,
I have removed the Barclays Monthly Saver which has been withdrawn. I have also added to the entry on the Nottingham Christmas Saver that adindas was able to open an account by post.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas!
I will do another update in 2 weeks' time.

I already have a saver (Issue 2). I spoke with Leeds BS and they confirmed that the latest (Issue 3) is also available to me. The only contraint is that only 1 account per issue is permitted per member so roll on Issue 4.0

Lloyds and TSB monthly savers also seem to be down to 2% AER now :-( (new applications only)

Just on my way to Skipton to open the Christmas saver to find it has been withdrawn
Really not a happy bunny. I can't get there during the week and the last few weekends have been busy. Grrr. Apparently it was withdrawn xmas eve.

How much can I save in 2012 challenge
75/1200 :eek:0 -
Any account with any bank or building society can be withdrawn at any time, without notice.
Try the Nottingham, if you've got a branch near you. Their Christmas Saver is still available at the moment -but it might not be available for much longer.0 -
Hi Folks,
I have carried this weekend's update to the entries on the first page of this thread.
- added a comment to the Leeds BS entry noting patientperson's post that it is possible to open one account per issue.
- removed Skipton BS Christmas Saver from the list
- updated the Lloyds and TSB monthly savers interest rate to 2% (bringing them into line with the Bank of Scotland monthly saver)
Thanks to everybody that posted above with this information.
I will do another update next weekend.

My N&P e-regular saver has matured. Didn't realise until today that you can only open one of these per life! However apparently I can open the standard reg saver (ie not the e-saver) to obtain the 3% rate they are currently offering.
The e-saver has reduced to 0.35% (plus bonus of 1.5%), which I doubt is worthwhile keeping to be honest.
I've maxed out the lloyds/BOS/TSB current accs & reg savers (got 3% on all those). I have both Leeds BS reg savers, barclays, yorks BS. Heck I've even got the nationwide at 2.5%.
I'm actually starting to really struggle to find somewhere for the cash to go! I was loathe to go for a reg saver below 3%, but looks like I'm going to have little choice there, as there's little options available, & 1 or 2 year bonds don't really seem worth it for their interest rates either...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
