Hi Everybody,
Here is this weekend's update.
- Loughborough BS Monthly Saver paying 3% variable on up to £500 per month indefinitely added to post 2 (thanks ctdctd!)
- Norwich and Peterborough BS Regular Saver and E-Regular Saver Account interest rates decreased from 4% to 3% updated in post 4
milton19700, you are not the only person to encounter the change in the Cheshire BS policy. Careful_ly reports in posts 2070 and 2073 that Derbyshire and Cheshire Building Societies are no longer allowing customers to open one account per issue - now just one account at a time.
I will do another update next weekend.

Advanced apologies, I am sure that I have seen the answer to this query somewhere on here but a search has not thrown it up .
Is it possible to make more than one payment in a calendar month without breaching the T + Cs ? (assuming of course that the max'm monthly amount it not exceeded).0 -
steady_eddie - I have looked at my terms and conditions for this account and they just say "save between £10 and £500 per month". No mention of only one payment per month allowed so I would think you could safely make a second payment during the month.0

I have a Yorkshire building society regular saver (max £500) and I have a regular standing order to pay in £10 a month (so I don't miss any payments when I am on holiday etc) and then I transfer any extra money 1 want to save during the month via my debit card.
I love the fact that I can vary the amount at any time. I did have a Scottish building society account paying 4% but now I only have the balance of that earning 3% so will be paying the max into the Yorkshire BS each month.
I find it is always good to keep a regular saving account going as long as possible as where else can I now get 3.75%!Not Rachmaninov

Just applied for the N&P Gold Current Account. Has anyone had any issues with applying? Mine said based on the information provided they will need to undertake some extra checks and this may take 2 working days ...
They did that and only gave me the Gold light though I can upgrade in 6 months!0 -

Seems to me the best regular savings account is one with Hargreaves Lansdown where you can save regularly starting at £50 a month with a £500 opening deposit.
Invesco Pepretual High Income Fund growth over last 3 years:
14.9%
7.79%
20.65%
Average interest rate over last 3 years 14.45%
Plus Dividend Income Yeild.
The figures speak for themselves. Even the First Direct 8% regular saver can't compete with that!0
