Are these all for adult members of your family or have you found the secret way of having more than one account?;)

Two weeks ago, I applied for a West Bromwich BS Fixed Rate Regular Saver (Adult). The previous one had just matured.

The branch I had spoken to posted out an application form. Yesterday, I received a letter from HO informing me that this account had to be opened at my local branch.

Can you remember which branch sent you the form?

I had one mature a couple of weeks ago and rang the main number on the website, they told me you couldn't open by post, I told them I had previously but they said procedures had been changed.

Would love to open a couple of these for myself and the wife.

    Which number did you use?

I've just used 0800302010 to clarify whether both husband & I can apply in sole names. Application form & T&C seem to suggest otherwise but I was assured 100% that we could. I wasn't convinced that 'adviser' knew what he was talking about as he changed his mind at least twice during our brief conversation , so have sent a secure message. Don't really want a joint regular saver to be honest :o

innovate - I hope the squashed pumpkins aren't too painful :rotfl:

Here is the reply I received yesterday afternoon from Nationwide:

    Dear badger09

    Thank you for your message.

I am sorry for the confusion the new Flexclusive Regular Saver account has caused. If you open the account online, it will mirror the FlexAccount. Please ask in your local branch where they can open the account in your sole name.

Please use the following link to locate your nearest branch

I would like to thank you for contacting us. If you need anything else, please reply to this message.

    Regards

Hope my local branch - which is under threat of closure :( know about this :)

Money for my Flexclusive RS (applied online first thing last Friday) has now disappeared from my Flexaccount but I can't see the RS online yet.

Same with mine. I think the same thing happened in the past in relation to opening an online eBond with them, so nothing to worry about - yet! ;)
