Could it be something to do with air pressure? Thinking how some people are very badly affected when a thunderstorm is due (which causes changes to air pressure). If it is at least you could be prepared for the problem & not need to worry so much!

RosaBernicia said:Hi BuffyRe gluten, I recommend the Coeliac UK website, and also have a chat with your GP anyway abou the blood test. There are a small proportion of people that have inflammation but don't produce the antibody that the test looks for. But if you are ok with pasta it may be the additives to shop bought bread that don't agree with you.Rosa xx
If I accidentally stab myself in the garden (in my finger!) I will do the test but otherwise will speak to the doctor.Nevertheless she persisted.3 -
First off. TOO DAMN HOT.
I really do dislike the heat. And today was horrible.
Good news -Dog Xray came back all clear, just bloody tests but she thought he was very healthy.
Bad news. Rabbit is seriously ill. Two abscesses in his face. We have a week. If it comes back (one was drained today) then I will have him put to sleep I think. There is another antibiotic i can try but I am in a mess right now so am not sure what I am doing. Also quite unlikely it is covered by insurance. I have claimed for the dog, but today's bill was over 1000 pounds and I am fairly sure a lot of that was the rabbit. He had a tooth removed as well.
Pounding headache. need sleep. I feel brittle.
Nevertheless she persisted.3 -

Thanks Beanie XXX
I have no one to talk about my options re my lovely rabbit. Mum gets too confused (that is a whole different set of problems) and my friends as much as I love them aren't massively into animals, my friends who are know all too well the awfulness of these kinds of decisions and I can't. I just can't. So I am laying out my options here. I think I know. I think it is inevitable. I am broken by this as he is truly a lovely boy and didn't deserve this. It is just a question of when. The vet doesn't think he is suffering I am not so sure. I think in the first instance I will ring the Vet Monday to discuss a bit more. If he is ok with the meds then maybe I will carry on, but if it stresses him out I am not sure it is worth his last week being full of stress?
And then it is what to do with my girl. I think I might have to rehome her. God writing that makes me feel awful. she is such a beautiful smart bunny. Can I really do that? This is a practical decision, housing a lone rabbit is in my view wrong, my original plan was to move them outside, it hurts that my boy won't get to be outside. and I am not sure I can cope with pairing up another rabbit. Not only that but long term renting with just guinea pigs would be easier. But I don't want to give her up.
I have loads of thoughts going round my head. I don't know anything for sure.Nevertheless she persisted.5 -
I think you know the decision that you have to make on the boy & the girl & I think it will take away a level of stress. Being a pet owner is hard but I think you know what you need to do. It's just being brave enough to admit it.
We always said we wouldn't medicate for life with any pet, we've had vets thank us for putting the animal first but it's always hard.
Maybe this is the universe pushing you towards your move out.4 -
Glad the dog was ok but so sorry about the rabbit. That vet bill is astronomical 😱 Is the abscess cancerous, is he suffering? If not can he live for a few months/years pain free?Oh Buffy 😩 Big hugs xxI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3
