Is it the gas hob or oven you’d like your mum to be able to use again, @Buffythedebtslayer? I Googled “ easy gas lighter arthritis” and one or two suggestions came up for spark makers that may be worth trying if it’s the hob?
Wow! Great job on getting all that grass mown before the rain. Are you fencing off a ‘wildlife friendly’ unmaintained section if the whole is too much to manage?2 -

Not being able to make a decision about the rabbits is driving me mad.
On the one hand, I love animals and don't want to give up the foster buns. Especially not to someone unknown. They are five, unlikely to be adopted by anyone and they are lovely rabbits. My lovely boy has such poor health. He won't be around forever.
On the other hand, six rabbits. Six. One of who is un-handleable. All of whom are expensive. I really didn't want rabbits inside long term. They are a pain to manage indoors when you have dogs or carpet......furniture......
I hate not knowing what to do.
If I hadn't got the foster buns, the indoor pair would be outside, I would *probably* had to have split my boy up from his friend for the winter, as his health would mean no winter outside and had a trio outside. And him in until it is time.
I think I must be brave and give up the foster buns.

I do think that you need to give up the foster buns.

UGH.
I went out to pick up pills (as in prescription, am not drug running!) and to my lovely pet shop. He has a rescue contact, so that is promising re the rabbits. Thing is I am worried it is the same person as I was dealing with before the
Just went to see them, I am not sure but I think my pair are fighting there was fur..............due to the presence of the other two. !!!!!!. We are at the point of bond or separate totally. As in no where near each other.
I also went to an estate agents, to ask about renting. with the animals. The guy was lovely but said it depends on the landlord, and it is SO expensive to rent here, the cheapest 1 bedroom flat 1000 pounds a month, I could rent a room in a house for 650/850 (single/double) but the advantage of that is a garden space for the buns...Really tho and it is one of the reasons I stay here is I would have to give up the animals if I rented privately.
Any how.... need a lay down as have yuky headache.

Just watch out for the log roll stuff, it's a pain to use as it never sits as level as you'd like and rots very quickly.
I've seen a product in B and Q and B and M which is recycled tyres made into edging strips, totally flexible and they'll never rot. A bit more pricy but if you only need to do the job once....
As for the rabbits, it's not sustainable. Is it worth asking friends locally if anyone is looking for rabbits, ideal time over the holidays to get them settled in before kids go back to school.1 -
I have asked EVERYONE if they want a pair of rabbits, it was the first thing I did, all my work friends, friend friends and FB friends. They would be good first time rabbits as they are very calm.
Hopefully the Pet Shop lead will bear fruit.Nevertheless she persisted.1 -
