In the works they have some sewing kits on offer, one is an hanging advent calendar, another is stockings. Priced from £5.00 to £8.00. Good craft idea if we have another lockdown.£2 savers club 2025 #2= £484

Board games are a good idea or cribbage which we both quite like and we'll definitely send some presents down to both families and hope to face time them while the kids open them so it will not be entirely bleak. I think what I'm wanting is for Christmas day to be a 'special' day and I know us well enough to know we'll be doing all the usual jobs and things that we always have to do day to day but if family were here we wouldn't be doing them, we're terrible. I'll work on it and you've given me some really lovely ideas all of you, I shall cobble together a plan and make it a nice day with some sparkly bits in it too, I hope all of you have the best christmas day ever xxx.5

I have treated myself! Ordered an Advent Calendar from a friend, who does Avon. £36, but if we want, it can be paid over the next 4 months, I will pay in one go, at least that will be out of the way. Never been into them, but this will be good value for money and will help a friend. She had a "bingo" night the other evening, we had been sent a list of 100 Avon items choose 5 and then we would play bingo on Friday night, it was hilarious as it was on Facebook live, so we had to type to speak and it was so instinctive to speak to the iPad! She drew in batches of 10, started off well, got 3 in the first batch, could only dream in the next batch and then got 2 out of the next 3 drawn. Was so excited, screamed Bingo, then realised I had to type it! Anyway, won about £40 worth of stuff, so very happy bunny, some will go in Christmas box. She is going to do it again, so will give some thought to my next list!A smile costs little but creates much7

Gettingtherequickly sounds like a great fun night.
I have written my Christmas food lists and I’ve started placing items in my Christmas cupboard. I’m aiming to buy a few things with long shelf life each time I go food shopping for Christmas. I’m going to do this with toiletries too in case we have another lockdown. I’m going into town tomorrow so hoping to pick up a few gifts then.
Hope everyone is ok x£2 savers club 2025 #2= £485 -

Hope everyone is ok xI am lucky in having a Costco card, so have managed to stock up on toilet paper, etc & have also bought the toothpaste, shower gel, toothbrushes & deodorant which we use in the charity Christmas hampers. Who knows what will be happening then, but somehow, we will sort them out & distribute them.

Evening everyone, thankyou yes I’m getting there, have a right shiner on one eye now and two black knees! Tomorrow I am having the staples taken out, so I can finally wash my matted hair, I’m going to need a whole bottle of conditioner it’s that bad. We had a great weekend with Thumper, it was so nice to have some quality time with him but my god we are all shatteredVULPIX how are you now? Glad you still enjoyed your weekend. I used to actually have a Moravian star glass light shade in the hall but didn’t know that was what it was called
PK aww love the sound of your Grinch themed evening. Hope you have a lovely break with your parents
TREASUREQUEEN we’ve been going through our supplies today to see what needs replacing just in case
GTQ Oh that sounds fab Avon Bingo great value prize! I’m going to have to see if my DD1 has got the brochure with the advent calendar#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE5 -
Been into town today wasn’t too bad but went very early when shops had only just opened. I got some air drying clay in the works to make present gift tags and tree decorations. In my craft stash I’ve got some bakers twine and Christmas stamps that will be used on them. I managed to pick up some reduced vegan marshmallows with a long date so they are now in my Christmas cupboard. My fireplace suite blew up last year (literally) so I saved up and invested in another one, I’m now planning on how to decorate it when my Christmas decks come out.

Blimey Free you you def don't do things by half
take it easy while you recover hope the staple removal wasn't too bad and your feeling a bit better with clean hair . Glad you got to spend some quality time with Thumper
Vulpix hope you are recovering well and managed to enjoy at least some of your break
GTQ My condolences on your loss Its been so much harder with the covid rules but it sounds like your uncle got a great send off even though you couldn't be there in person. Congrats on your avon bingo wins sounds like it was a fun evening and great way to support a friend.
Princesskitty hope the trip to see your parents went well . I love the idea of a grinch themed night -Taz used to be so scared of the grinch but we watched the animated version which is so much more kid friendly hes finally come around so I might borrow that idea. Birthday Wishes for Wiggle
Rachsecret Belated birthday wishes glad you got to see family before the restrictions came in. I do think its a good idea to have a back up plan for xmas this year as things are so uncertain hopefully we'll be able to see family/friends but who knows
Treasure queen thanks for the heads up re the works
Ordered a few more stocking filler bits
boots are doing £5 off every £20 spend in various categories and it stacks with other deals so got over £40 worth of stuff for just over £15 . They are also doing BOGOF on vitamins today only so stocked up on some of the more expensive ones I get.
anyone else noticing a serious lack of offers anywhere? I think its going to be a lot harder to find deals & discounts this year esp online and delivery times are still very hit & miss too. I can't see it improving anytime soon with things going the way they are.
Ordered ds school uniform this week £50+ for 3 items4 -6 weeks for delivery so hoping it fits when it finally arrives
Picking up a couple of items each week instead of putting the money on a savings card as doing most of my shopping online and it means we'll have things in if we end up with a local lockdown or worse.
Meant to be popping into town to pick up some bits for dd's birthday later but really not looking forward to it
this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk5 -
Hope you don't mind me joining in, I have read on here for years and thought it was time to join in.
I have bought some presents throughout the year, going to sort them this week and get lists made. Does anyone know if anywhere sells gift bags at the moment for Christmas or where I could get some online?
Like every year I am struggling with ideas for the men in our family but keeping an eye out for inspiration5
