OH has fitted metal pegs to a garden chair we have that collapses at will. Those pegs now stop it from happening. The chair is now safe and we can keep it, not needing to replace.8

My MMM's (well, stricly speaking, ours)
Make do : Got beetroot with the veg box, so decided to try beetroot and chocolate cake. Smells appetising!
Mend: Darned a pair of trousers, working on the cuffs of another (they were cropped, but fit me reasonably well!). OH has been busy - we had a Green Man plaque made of resin or something - unfortunately, the rain caught in the nooks and hollows and it dissolved the material, resulting in disappearing details and a green stain down the wall. OH has spent best part of a fortnight remaking the details (he admits he's not the most artistic of people), repainting and varnishing the thing to within an inch of its life. It's drying in the garage, but looks really good.
Minimise: Patterns offered to a friend, got rid of a load of wool to another friend. Unfortunately left with wool I hadn't started with, but ON BALANCE I have less wool, and the wool I acquired has a purpose.Honest.2024 Fashion on the Ration - 10/66 coupons used

Hi Peeps,
Been keeping up with you all.
Make do - really looking at items and making a concerted effort of what is to happen to it. Properly eating is becoming better, and wow what a difference it makes. Was gifted some old cotton clothes from friend to make into rags for hubby in his shed. Found 3 items to be listed for sale
Mend - repair the withdrawal of money from savings account for the kitchen extension we are looking to do quite soon, taking it back to where it started. (is that cheating??)
Minimise - continuing to keep outing from the house using method of can only come in if something goes out. My trainers I am wearing now will go tonight into the bin. Continuing when I go into the loft there has to be an item that needs to go out, needless to say it is slow progress.Anything is better than nothing-check back and see

Haven't posted for ages again but hope you are all keeping on MMMing
Finally mended a small pile of clothes that had been sitting for ages including one of my favourite dresses. I hand sewed all of the mends as although I've been practising on the sewing machine, I'm not confident enough to attempt anything proper yet.
Recently I've started decluttering the flat, just trying to do a little bit at a time - got rid of a pile of gift bags that will never be used, various cardboard packaging (why did I even save it?) and some ancient make-up.
The garden is looking much better than it did - some bulbs that I planted earlier this year have flowered, my dad and neighbour both gave me some plants which look lovely and I bought a few too. Trying to keep on top of mowing the grass as well instead of leaving it until it absolutely must be done.
I'm also currently trying to minimise me - after losing the same 4 pounds over and over again, I decided to join weight watchers and have lost 6 pounds so far
Hope everyone has a lovely TuesdayMortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.9.25 - £105,664.31

I used some left over yarn to fix a couple of holes and tears in the blankets we use when we are sitting in the sofa in autumn. I also just mended a pair of trousers.9

I finally managed to make a trip into town and took books to Oxfam bookshop, some clothes to Oxfam clothes shop, an old pair of slippers to the Clarks recycling bin and bras to the M and S bra bank so I have managed to minimise quite a bit.In respect of making do I made some curtains from left over fabric for my newly organised and painted shed at the allotment. I'm really pleased with how the shed has come along as it was second hand from my Aunt.I can't think of any mends at the moment.

Made a couple of masks for DDs as I managed to get some elastic from the local sewing shop. I used fabric that I'd had for some time. So far I haven't had to buy any. I'm wondering if I could make a mask from one of DHs silk ties.9
