Mend - glued a tear in DHs padded shirt. You can see it - but only if you know where to look.
Make do - left a whole load of veggies for the carer to make meals for her and MIL while we were away for 4 days - I don't think she used any (what they ate I don't know). Roasted them all and made a Seitan and roasted veg stew with dumplings - did for the 3 of us and part of lunch today. Roasted unused cherry tomatoes and made a risotto with them and the left over stew for today's lunch - some left - will do at least 1 meal.
Minimise - now got rid of nearly all the meat, dairy and meat meals, tinned fish. Now I just need to use up the fish in the freezer which no-one seems to want.Clutter free wannabee 2021 /52 bags to cs. /2021 'stuff' out of the placeYOU CANNOT BE ALL THE GOOD THAT THE WORLD NEEDS, BUT THE WORLD NEEDS ALL THE GOOD YOU CAN BEtaken from Shelbizleee on YouTube - her copyright10 -
Morning Peeps,
Just been reading up on the posts. Think I need to stay away from the tv in the evening. There's always more to do.
Managed to do some bits of MMM this month.
Mended the sewing machine that has been in the wardrobe for over 3 years without making an appearance. Couldn't get the tension right, so took it to my old home town sewing machine shop. They sorted it and it was no charge. It did however need an new foot, even that was recycled from an odd bits box at the shop, bought a packet of new needles that would be needed. Total cost £13, one happy lady here.
Make do by doing the repairs to some trousers that needed hemming. Do need to take the hem up a bit more, this will literally only be to turn up and stitch. Lets see how long that takes!!
Minimise more wool balls into a blanket. This will need dropping of for the Night shelter charity that works with young homeless adults. Starting another so more reduction here.
Have a good week peeps x

Do you mind if I join?
This week I have made a world book day costume completely from things we have at home (Miss Hardbroom from Worst Witch), made a small chicken into a roast chicken dinner, chicken sandwiches, added to egg fried rice for homemade fakeaway and used the bones to make stock. I've listed all the food in the house and will shop from here first, with £40 left for the rest of the month for me and little miss.
I am also making a blanket for a Christmas present so having a leisurely knitting of squares through the year - 4 done this week.

I have struggled a little bit with MMM's recently for some reason. Not sure why. Anyway here goes:
Make Do
- I made some crisps out of veg peelings (sweet potato/carrot/parsnip) and they were rather nice. I got the idea from the "Sneaky Ways" thread and I will definitely be doing it again.
- I made a soup out of ingredients I already had and, again, it was a very nice soup.
Minimise
- Finished sorting my books out and took the last lot to the book swap at work and to the charity shop.
- Got rid of old baking ingredients that are no longer fit for purpose.
- Got rid of a broken ornament that couldn't really be fixed.
Mend
- Not really mend as such but I spring cleaned my flat from top to bottom using natural products and it feels lovely now.
