Well done on the improvements you are making.  I'll be interested to hear how you get on with the chocolate alternatives, that is my downfall too!
    Thanks @jwil😼
I feel puzzled and strange at the moment , it has to be said 🧩
Until this decision , I was buying way too much chocolate . Not to mention ice cream🍧
At the moment , the plan of having whipped cream and nesquick seems to working really well . I will order some green and blacks as a backup as I'm not used to being without it.
The blender comes in handy ( small cheap nutrabullet )
I can't see myself stopping chocolate , but a reduction would be great .

The last 24 hrs or so, have been ones of realisation and to an extent planning for potential problems and what to expect this year ..
Yesterday, I had a nose on the benefits board 👃and there were questions about LCW .
This alerted me to check my decision from the tribunal which awarded in my favour until may this year. I have subsequentially found out that , I will have to go through the process within 1-3 years all over again from scratch . It means all of the previous mountains of paperwork and beuraucracy no longer matter and I start as a new claimant .
I very much doubt it will be may due to Covid etc , but I expect to be assessed sometime in the summer .
The other thing I have to look out for, is the behaviour of the druggies upstairs ,now that the spring / summer is here.  To their credit , they took heed of the complaints by the lettings agents and possibly landlord and I'm hoping that has put a stop to it .No problems since August last year to be fair .
The other tenants are fine, and they have a little girl who screams at times but not for long periods and the communal area is immaculate .
Regarding the PIP payment , I am still going to receive it till 2024, but 6 months beforehand I will get a form to fill in and then will be assessed also in 2024
I have 8.5 years approx before the new retirement age . It would have been 6.5 but I'm not complaining , and just complying and trying to prepare and come to terms with what's ahead ..
Yesterday , the only chocolate if you can call it that , was the double cream/ nesquick/ peanut butter in blender . Massive achievement if I can keep that up🍫.
    No bread 🥖for 8 days , and no orange juice🍊 for 5 .

I went for walk 🐾this morning albeit reluctantly , due to feeling rough as usual.
With my condition, there are times when no 2 days are the same consecutively
My right knee was painful . I have tendonitis in my left knee, so that will have to be mentioned in my next assessment . Obviously , I probably forgot to mention that to the assessors ( I may have , but I was on prednisolone back then ) , so we'll see what gives

Anyway , I'm not going to dwell but I can't rest on my laurels as I don't like nasty surprises

I'm due a session with mr trainer today 🏋️‍♀️
    I'll leave it there..🌩
  • Sounds like a heck of a lot coming up not just this year but over the next few years too.

Hope that the druggies don't give you any trouble.

Hope you have a productive session with the trainer.
  • Thanks @Purplemumof2😼
It could sound dramatic , and tbh it is a little daunting. Then again , it does look like I claimed UC at the right time before this Covid situation happened.
There are people who sneered at people on benefits and now realise how little there is to get by and also got a rude awakening when they either got refused  or didn't understand what to do to get anything .
I look at the prospect of applying for benefits for the first time in my life " first I was afraid, I was petrified " springs to mind . I do seem to have got to grips with what's expected of me so far . I can't really complain as there are people far worse off, but am worried to an extent that one day I may be " sanctioned ". Having said that , I have shown common courtesy and respect , which the various work coaches do seem to appreciate . If I'm not forced into anything that is totally unsuitable , and I politely always comply then hopefully everything will still be manageable . 🤞

I had session with mr trainer today 🏋️‍♀️🥵. He is majorly impressed with my attack on the food . The thing I'm doing now is eliminating the additives  etc and everything is proper .
Never thought I'd see the day when I actually am doing a three way attack which doesn't seem difficult for once . The headaches are gone for now .

I realise why my leg was painful walking today. This was because I stopped taking the Naprxen which gives me tinnitus . I'll have to take it again then.
I may not go for walk 🐾tomorrow due to rain forecast , so rest will be good anyway .

    I'll leave it there ..⛅️

Well done with the danger/trigger foods. Also with additives, the less processed a food is the better...
I realise my 'out of sorts' was in part due to giving up caffeine (AGAIN)
Just wondering if it worth looking for pain killer for your leg that won't give you tinnitus?
You've done ok with the benefits system so far. It might continue being ok so try not to worry until you have cause. (I know, easier said than done)
If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

    Thanks DIA 😼
Wise words . I'll cross the bridges when I get to them .❌ I'm prepared now , so I'll put this to the back of my mind . I suppose it's just an update on my circumstances .
I tried to quit caffeine , but failed . The trouble with that , is it's like sugar as it's in so many foods and drinks often hidden . I don't think I take much . I have a black coffee daily ☕️
I tried decaf back in the early 2000s , but the trainer🏋️‍♀️ I used to see advised me that it's a waste of time as chemicals are in there to compensate . Horses for courses. 🐺She could be right . Caffeine withdrawal is evil .
The naproxen 💊is an anti inflammatory . My best bet is to take it again , but onky mornings and not bedtime 🛏
I'll mention it to Mrs doctor when things are back to normal .
Hope your week is good .
    I'll leave it there ..😼

I can't quit coffee for ever. I get to a level where I am too jumpy so I clear it out and then I get withdrawal and then I introduce it back in a small way and so the process starts again.  I agree the process for decaffeinating is not good, plus the taste is lacking, no body in it. That said, I LOVE coffee. I'm not much of a drinker and we all need some vices :)

Good idea to mention the tinnitus when taking naproxen to the GP as there may be an alternative.

Keep going. You are doing great.

I'd say stick with the coffee ☕️😺 . We think alike .withdrawal is too much ..
almost forgot to mention that I'm not much of a drinker . Especially since I moved . Hangovers are too much also 💊
  • Hugs to feeling bleurgh! But glad you know the triggers.

Hopefully you'll get to go out soon, it may do you a power of good :)
