Same as always .I did manage to touch base with James . He'll be sorting out the jobs I have between Christmas and new year .I have been up and down health wise . I managed to get a pair of 4kg dumbbells which are like gold dust since lockdown .Today has been odd. It is my birthday 🍰 and of course lockdown makes it quieter. No big deal. However I had to reschedule session with mr trainer to Friday 🏋🏻♂️.
This is because I was due a phone appointment with specialist at st Thomas's hsp which has not happened just yet
I went for a walk this morning 👣and got accosted by a nice cat 😼. 20 mins or so later after constantly talking to me, I had to cut the walk short as I didn't want to miss the phone call.
The cat had no collar. Very well looked after . Hopefully it's microchipped .I'll leave it there..⛄️2 -

Happy birthday AC! Seems to me you are doing okay. You can look back on a year when you battled with the benefit system and appear to have come out on top. You have continued to improve your home and most importantly your health.
You could get a cat (I know you are a cat person). I can't wait to get a dog
I have a set of dumb bells (2 kg) that I gave my relative to build upper body strength but the NHS supplied those band things so I may take them back as I can't find any anywhere...

Thanks for the birthday wishes 😸. When you get to a certain day it's pretty much a normal day . No beer this year .🍺no big deal
I'm a cat and dog lover DIA 🐕🐈⬛, but just not up to walking dogs morning noon and night 🐾.Looking at your reflective post DIA , there are more positives than minus so far, but I know that I can't take anything for granted . My life revolves around assessments , which is something I never thought would happen a few years ago before my upheaval .
Although I don't miss London one bit I too get reflective from time to time ,obviously wondering what have I done . One thing I do know is that after not being able to have a proper routine for many years , I have got that back . The basic things like having a regular exercise routine and sticking to it 🏋️♂️, plus having time to myself . There are things to add to the list once proper movement is allowed whenever. At my age ( 2 years from 60 🙀),I'm not sure of employment situation , as in reality I only need a few hrs a week . I seem to be managing better than expected financially so far 🤞due to awards going my way. They can be reversed but I'll live for the moment .You've hit another nail on the head about training equipment DIA🏋️♀️ . Since lockdown , more people at home are exercising and the price of equipment is astronomical or hard to come by . Thankfully I more or less have everything I need for anything mr trainer throws my way.In other news , I received a text a few days ago from EDF . They are looking into my eligibility for warm home discount for rebate on my energy bill. This time last year , I had that old boiler on its last legs on my hands and knees adjusting the pressure every couple of days . Hopefully EDF will more understanding this year and give me a break .I'll leave it there ⛄️1 -

More belated birthday wishes from me too AC. After losing Alfie cat back in the Spring I didn't think I would have another as he was such a character, but last week I "adopted" two 1year old kittens from the Cats Protection. They are very sweet and called Felix and Smith (Smithy). Smith was called Freddie but he looks nothing like a Freddie so that had to go. They are still settling in, and I am still trying to get used to them too. Other than that life plods on as usual. I am never really that bothered by Christmas and even less so this year but will get together with youngest on the day itself for lunch. Fortunately she and I are in a "bubble" so we get to meet every couple of weeks or so anyway, so being at home over the festive period suits me. After years of talking about it I finally have Netflix so should be able to find something good to watch as "ordinary" telly seems to be running out of programmes. That, plus a well stocked bookcase and some cheese and chocolate (not together!) and I shall celebrate in my own little way. Hope you stay well and warm over the winter, and hopefully some better times for us all next year.4

Nice to hear from you dreaming 😼
Great news about the cats 🐈⬛🐈⬛. Gone to a good home .Ordinary tv and radio has been awful this year imho . I'll leave that bit there .As for Netflix , it gets samey and ltd at times. Having said that I accidentally stumbled upon a danish political drama ( Borgen) that I wanted to see again after a few years . It turns out that Netflix have bought the rights to the final series due to be screened in a couple of years . Being mse , I tend to stop / start my subscription whereas in the past I let it run without watching it for months at a time . I'm getting better I guess 😼
Hope the Christmas bubble goes well for you . I will be Macaulay culkin 🙀4 -
