Hi AC good to see you're not letting them grind you down and sounds like you're keeping busy too.  I'm just trying to get my new sign in to work too....
  • Thanks moo 🐶  It's good to know that you can see that I'm complying with everything and more. I think it's gonna take time to get sorted and don't want to be sanctioned or pushed into something totally wrong . I will have to get another fit note in March just to remind them that I can only function a few hrs etc . Not looking forward to the tribunal and expect my final appeal fo be declined . I think  that if I can get something for 16 hrs a week ( but not weekends) that would be a start and should please everyone . We'll see.
it seems that the gremlins are being ironed out in the new look mse. I seem to be having less trouble than yesterday . We were warned to expect a few days of turbulence so I would say everything should be sorted by midweek . Hope you get sorted 🐤

AC, good luck for the future my friend.
Unfortunately this new forum makeover is just so pants that I won't be here, or on any thread much if at all after today, and I suspect that'll be the same for many unless the powers in MSE Towers have a rethink on design/colours and type faces - well everything really!
  • Thanks harz . I hope you have a change of heart. Initially, I'm not liking it , but things seem to be improving ..but I miss the original layout so much ! I have done most of my input on here while using my iPad , or iPhone if the battery runs down . Hardly used it on desktop, which this new format is closest to.  It's a shame that you don't want to carry on here at mse, particularly as you've been there for me from the start . Surely , you want to see if I crash or burn ?🔥
Thanks for being there , and please stick around 🥖
  • Well , I just got a surprising phone call from citizens advice . The lady who called me specialises in appeals etc. I have an appointment for 10.00am  on weds . They received the same documentation that I did . I don't need to bring anything else with me, except for my empty box of naproxen - a pain killer recently added to the list . A daunting time ahead.
Saw mr trainer today who is still impressed. My only problem is my intake of M&S hand cooked crisps. They have to go .
Tomorrow I have the final day of the boost your confidence course . On Thursday I see mr trainer for another session . Busy week again then . I think it may be next week that I may have to go to the work related place and a phone interview with the job coach  . I cannot remember the days . It may be the week after. Still trying to keep on top of things ..

just a note, you do know naproxen isnt a painkiller, it is a NSAID (an anti inflamatory) which in itself may HELP with pain through the anti inflammatory use... its not a painkiller.
i take it, and i take it ALONGSIDE, a painkiller, in my case codiene. so it may be worth enquiring about a painkiller to go alongside naproxen... it may also help your case with DWP

  • Wow! Thanks for that dB . That's really useful to know . Hope you are managing your pain ok . Yes , it may help with my case . I'll make sure to bring it to citizens advice for sure .
Ive just got an email from the postcode lottery . I won ...£10 ! 🍾
  • I watched a program last night about UC and now I have even more respect with how you have dealt with this.  Do you have a date for the boiler installation yet?
If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

  • Thanks DIA .  I could never watch those kind of programmes , purely because I've never wanted to be in that situation and of course it would depress me . ..and look where I am 🙀. Haven't heard from eon just yet, but I would think once they double check that I'm a home moaner I should receive a date for installation .
    Yesterday , I finished the boost your confidence course . The mad one didn't appear , so the final day was a team of 4 . For some reason , I asked to be put on 2 further courses ;
communications skills for success & managing stress and anxiety. Those courses combined start on 25 Feb and finish 31 March . The computer skills course starts 21 April and runs until 28 July . I've done all these off my own back ,as it keeps me active , gets me out of the flat and may actually help in some way. They are all road to work courses.

This morning I saw the nice lady at citizens advice . As I was going in , there was a homeless loose cannon who stank to high heaven 🤮. I'm not judging btw but he was loud and intrusive and kept talking to everyone in a hyperactive way. Dangerous if you don't acknowledge him etc . We had a chat when he cane in after me and he thought I worked there and didn't realise the office was open .
Anyway, the advisor was great . It doesn't look like I'll get anywhere if truth be told , but she is still going to appeal on my behalf anyway . Her envelopes were savaged by wild dogs also . She is complaining about that 🐕 She is looking into hopeful help with service charges and water . She mentioned boiler grant also and gave me something that may help if eon don't .
Tomorrow is another day with mr trainer . Then it's Friday , the only day I'm actually doing nothing in theory . Next Monday and Tuesday it's the work related and job coach days
I may go to the job club on Tuesday just to checkout their version of Microsoft office to my Mac one . Life is crap💩but I'll still keep plodding ...
