  • Oh AC that's ridiculous.

Hope it gets resolved quickly xx
  • The UC record keeping is crazy. You would think they might have better things to do.
DLTBGYD! You paid into the system for decades so just keep going.

  • Thanks pmo2& DIA .
I was trying to decipher one word in your last post DIA . Then the penny dropped . No need for an eye test :) I got it
I enjoyed the 2 and a half years of being more or less stress free and of course recuperation . Feeling like I've been constantly on an overdose of night nurse in that time and being a gas balloon for most of that time was no walk in the park either . I was told from various friends and family that I'll have to "sign on soon / get your stamp " etc and there was no way I was going to do that when I first quit everything . I believe I did the right thing by leaving it till last jan to actually claim universal credit , and it wasn't till June when I had my fit note ripped up by them that I am beginning to feel the crap that has been expected and is now happening .

The only plus is that it has got me meeting people and going to courses that I am doing voluntary . There are others I could do possibly but they cost . They are trying to force me to say sod it / stick it up your backside etc , but I may as well see how far I can go .
They have been on my case too much imho , but I'll keep complying hoping for an eventual positive outcome .

Having said all of that , it depends how desperate things get in the next few months .

I've never asked for much , and just kept plodding away.

Positive stuff : had haircut at long last . On my way to gym yesterday , my friend sent text asking if I was ok as I've kept a low profile .
We ended up in Bournemouth for a few lunchtime Guinness 's
Today is the first day to myself . Tomorrow gym again . I need to tidy around flat . Just come back from Poole food shopping ..and I got a hat:eek:. I don't really do hats , but it was a beret to go with my raincoat . Hopefully I don't look too much like frank Spencer . Still it's only for the rain .. . I got it in m&s for free as I was given a Christmas m&s gift card so not all bad ..
  • Lack of sleep again last night. The bizarre dreams continue when I do get some sleep . Last night it took about 3 hours to actually go comatose . One other thing to mention on the sleeping situation is that I've had the new bed about 7 or 8 days so I ad to remember to rotate the mattress ,and continue to do this for the next few weeks .
It is much easier to move than the last one which had the weight of that celebrity person Gemma Collins ? And just as awkward ..

Went to mr trainer's abode today . He is still mightily impressed . He even filmed me doing a couple of exercises to put on his Facebook page. I'm fed up obviously of universal credit and if they see me in there I can't give a toss. I have all the medical stuff etc

While in the middle of training , I heard a text coming through my phone. I obviously ignored it till session was over. I expected it to be them again . It wasn't them , but it was skills and learning telling me about the corona situation and China etc. Not sure about corona ,but I have some hoegaarden or jack Daniels in tow for later...

Hope that the sleep situation improves for you.

    Thanks pmo2:)

I think it was " don't let the bar stewards grind you down "
    Something like that :)
  • Just received a call from skills and learning regarding the " improve your computer skills " course which I enrolled for .
    It's from 21 apr- 28 July ( 14 weeks ) .
I thought it best to put it onto the universal credit journal .

I also listed the additional bill that all leaseholders will be getting for electrical work which is being carried out Very soon .
That will be approx £1300.00 on top of our service charges .
Hopefully by listing this on the journal I won't be sanctioned for the funds issue previously mentioned .

Still on top of things I guess ..
  • I received a call from the contractors that eon use for the boiler installation at 4.30 yesterday evening . They asked for proof of homeownership . I asked them to send email to me so that I can respond with proof . I found the envelope from mr solicitor with all the info . I asked if they have a rough idea how long it would take etc
It seems that I'm accepted .
I dialled 1471 this morning and left a message for them to get back to me so that I can get everything underway .
It seems that eon should then have everything they need in a few days and a few days after that , they should contact me to arrange a date for installation . That's the plan anyway ....
  • Great news about the boiler :)

That's the first bit of good news I've seen in relation to your flat AC, hope it works out for you, along with all the UC stuff.
