    Quote from EON : £240.00 :j:j:beer::T:):T
Will pay and book installation tomorrow afternoon ..

Screen freeze made me post twice . Oh , well

That's quick, and really good news Hope it all goes well.
  • Thanks Harz and Mrs. P :)
I agree it is very quick . I'm hoping that I haven't been jumping for joy too quick . I'm a bit confused tbh . Reason is that I can pay the money today. On the next line it says 'subject to successful eligibility checks. '
Not in bold print though .
I expected to have to wait for a few days for the offer to be set in stone.
I'll be back after I've had the discussion later on today ..
  • Fantastic quote from Eon.

Well done on the decluttering, four crates in total is amazing.

Hope your new bed arrives nice and early for you. xx
  • Thanks pmo2 :)

What a day . I made sure to be ready for both companies regarding my collection and delivery etc . The new bed arrived first , around 08.10 this morning . It came all the way from Telford . Nice guys .
I asked for a hand getting the bed frame out of the bedroom and they obliged . Great stuff!

The council came around 10.00 am and that was done and dusted .

After that , I have been trying to sort out this refurbished pc .
I got help from the tech forum here . I'm gonna send it back but am waiting for returns label . In the meantime the support guys insist on talking to me . Supposedly busy . It's in the box now , I've had enough

So onto EON: I did not receive a callback as arranged on their website
I had to phone them and wait ages to speak to someone .
I have to wait 8-10 weeks to see if I qualify . :(
If I do qualify , the price stays the same , so I just have to wait .
Annoying. Having said that , I think we all knew that the decision seemed way too quick . I now expect to be declined . We'll see

Bed looks great . More space in bedroom . Place is like a bomb site but I'll get round to it

Tomorrow I have another phone interview with universal credit .
  • Happy new bed and how lovely that the guys helped to move the old one out for you.

    Pah to the laptop :(

Hope that the waiting goes quick and that you aren't declined, I can't see why they'd decline you though.

Regarding the laptop : I'm a Mac user and bought the laptop so that I can improve with a computer course . Having said that , I got Microsoft office for Mac for £5.50 a few days ago . If that's enough , then I wouldn't need a pc also.

As for EON : if it's cut and dry that I have to be a home moaner and be receiving universal credit then yes , I should get it . 2 boxes ticked but you can't trust the gvt .
  • Glad the new bed arrived and the old bed has gone. You will sleep well tonight :)
The criteria for eligibility is what it is, so you should be fine re new boiler. It may take longer but you should get it in the end.

    You certainly sound busy!

i'd be careful buying any codes for £5.50, they will be a code everyone knows, and as such soon blocked by microsoft.

genuine products cost a lot more for a reason. dont get me wrong, i've circumvented a lot in my time, but some just get blocked when they know 1000 machines are all connecting to the internet with that code, where of course it should be one (usually).
  • Thanks DIA :)
Yes , I've been busy for some time now . Strange in my situation .
I think I'll get the grant from EON . However , as it has to be relocated it will come in at extra cost . I would say nearer the first quote of around £500 ( not more than ). Still a bargain though and I'm not complaining .

Lots of tidying up to do , probably tomorrow . Just feeling a bit drained now .

I am looking forward to tonight :)

    Thanks for that .
Normally I'd be the first to avoid . But £5.50 I thought it not a huge gamble . It seems like apples official version is the way to go if this one doesn't work anymore .
