I haven't got boiler grant yet . I'm still awaiting visit from eon .
They have an eco scheme . I'd say I'll probably get a new boiler but will have to pay a few hundred towards it. For some reason , I got better vibes on the phone from them opposed to the moody woman from edf.
I just phoned waggy tales charity near me. They are not taking duvets for now . Annoying . I'll have to continue my search .If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Thanks DIA
Well, I received bedding from the amazon . The expensive duvet is going back for a refund . The polythene inside the box was opened and not sealed , and as it's very expensive I think quality control should be a lot better. It was a snuggle down ultimate Hungarian goose down duvet. This means that I have one less duvet to think about , as I can keep the kingsize and have a ponder about the other stuff I ordered1 -
Yesterday , I decided to go to post office and return the duvet as mentioned . Luckily I photocopied the scan code and it is on its way back. They did say to pack it , but it came in it's box with no wrapping on it so I sent it back the way it came .
I then decided to go straight to chemist from there..closed!
I'm not a lover of that pharmacy. I'll go there tomorrow morning hoping that I can get what is needed without them being useless as they are at times .
I then had a phone appointment with the universal credit job coach
He was running late , but I only had to wait 20 mins .
He will contact me again on the 16th of this month by phone .
This morning I had to go to oakdale for the computer training induction
I saw a lady from the Poole job club there. The main chap Ben was there also , but not in my class .
Anyhow , I did the test or most of it . I got full marks for the first part
The rest 11 out of 56..not good . They are booking me in for a weekly course, or trying to. A person who left before me got the last place for 30th of this month. I'm first in the queue for cancellation . Otherwise I have to wait until after Easter . Not a good start.
I have to practice of course, and will be getting homework.
TBH , I don't like Microsoft and prefer Apple more . With Apple everything seems straightforward . With pc there seem to be so many options which are confusing and simple things cannot be saved . Annoying . I have the option of using the computers in the library or job centre , but tbh I don't fancy all the traipsing around . I could be wrong but I may see if Apple have a Microsoft office programme that I can purchase and that would be more beneficial . I have a good iMac purchased late 2017 so I'd be silly not to look into it first.
The other option is a used laptop from fleabay.
Yesterday I went back to the gym . Yes my belly has got bigger ,due to my deliberate bad habits at Christmas . Will go again tomorrow and Friday and see what gives . Crisps have gone . I had a couple of small bags of marmite rice cakes . Guess they'll have to stop and I should be more disciplined for the year, ...and decade !1 -
Hi AC,
Fingers crossed about the boiler grant, that would be fab
Boo to the duvet, I agree about quality control and I too would've sent it back the way it arrived.
I too have terrible chemists, we have on and they are either always low on something or never have something in that we need. I sympathise.
Fingers crossed the cancellation happens and that you get on quickly.0 -
Hi, I just popped in to say that you can get Microsoft Office for Mac. If you really need to although Office is quite expensive. I'm not sure if there is a better alternative on a Mac. Hello only pariah ,and thanks for dropping by
Thanks for this . I've just spoken to various Apple people .
It seems that if I pay £59.95 I can get Microsoft office for a year .
This seems to be the best option . With this version , I can use it on iPad and iPhone as well as my main iMac . As long as it looks like any Microsoft Windows desktop when I open it then that's what I need ..1 -
Okay.. I got advice on the tech section here and have a used dell laptop on its way to me. I then have to purchase a cheap version of Microsoft office as advised. All for less than£100.
Hopefully all will be well . The plan is to use it solely to do the course and the homework that comes with it .
My bed will be collected next weds between 09-12.30 am
My new bed is due to come the same day . I may contact them and find the time it's coming . I assume that I will have to dissemble it.
Had a call from a nice lady from Wales . It was eon. I will have a visit next Tuesday from their assessor seeing if I can get the boiler grant
Fingers crossed.
A couple of ropey nights sleeping, waking up around2.30 and feeling crap. Still ,I went to the gym for a solo session and will do the same Friday ..2 -
Fingers crossed about the boiler grant.
I too slept badly last night, hoping for a better night tonight.
Well done on the gym session x1 -

Yes DIA , slept better thanks
Things have been busy . I have that laptop on its way today .
I took a chance and went back to the chemist . Lloyd's pharmacy suck by the way
The plan was to go there , and jump on a bus and do some food shopping in Poole and get back before ups deliver laptop,
What happened was I received some of my prescription . I had to remind them that there is not enough there . The lady found it and I had to wait for it to be labelled etc. On top of that , the most important drug which I should have got in November still isn't there .
I went to surgery and requested it again late Dec and took slip over to them , and it's still not there
I got bus straight away . Picked up some clothing from M&S that I ordered. The plastic bag it came in is useless and the handles snapped straight away. So I got food shopping and got the bus straight away getting back . No laptop yet . All good .
I've just visited Lloyd's pharmacy and M&S on Facebook and left comments . With Lloyd there is a customer service email address l I sent a snotty email . Not like me , but they're playing with my health and are useless . With M&S I commented in the men's suit section .
Next week is busy sorting stuff, with yet another call from the job coach . I have the bed situation to sort and the boiler assessment .
Tomorrow gym , and probably Monday .
Still, I did everything on time today, as we have a downpour later1
