Good question harz . They all do different things ( fretless , hollowbody etc). The quality is different and I was thinking of downsizing but having quality . I may not do anything at all .:)1

Happy new thread AC! I'm sure with all the help you're getting you will find just the right type of job this year. It's been a bit of a journey but you'll get there.
I'm thinking about having a declutter too. Not got too much, but it's starting to annoy me, so new broom and all that....

Happy new diary
I hope you escape the horrors of UC this year and settle in a part time job that works for you.

Happy New Year, and thread AC.
Um, how much did you spend on a duvet?!!! Even with £200 off, it must have been very expensive to start with. I've never spent more than £40, and your old duvets would still work perfectly fine on a double bed.
Bloomin' fireworks were going off from 6pm last night! The cats weren't too happy about that. It's bad enough around November 5th, but why do the fireworks hours before the strike of midnight? Some were going off at 11.50pm. :huh:1 -
Good point Gigervamp on the duvet point. I have a duck and goose feather duvet. I consider it a luxury buy. I've had it several years. I dry clean it annually and it didn't cost enough to have £200 off!If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Sorry to hear about the fireworks and cats gigervamp . Compared to last year , there didn't seem to be so many where I am.
It seems that the worst time ( never a good time) , is from about the beginning of October till end of November .
Ah, it does look like I slipped up regarding the duvets . I don't have any real excuse, except that my present and last bed were both king size. Being a dopey man and not thinking straight , I've obviously screwed up . I just felt swamped with the clutter and procrastination
The only comfort I guess is the price of the divan and the extra 15% off from divans direct . Even then I was undecided about a double or small double , but went for the latter as I wasn't sure if it was too much of a reduction from king size . It could be worse I guess. This part of the conversation could be about curtains . Then my ignorance would really stand out ..
So today has been very productive . I went through masses of paperwork again and that will be dumped into the recycling bin tomorrow . I did some a couple of days ago also . A big step in progress. I will finish it off in the next couple of days . Hopefully in the end , I'll just have one storage box with my life essentials and photos etc.
I did do something MSE again . I got sent a few albums from one of my friends , plus I downloaded lots on the cheap too . All legal .
The singer from rammstein . His second album is not as good as the first, and the artwork is awful so no need to buy. As for the tool album,I'm not paying £40 for the ordinary cd which should have been released weeks ago when the £90 version came out . So much stuff is overpriced and not worth it on box sets etc . If I really want it I will buy cd but I'm not having the urine extracted from me by these record companies any more ...1 -

Thanks saving Holmes .) Nice of you to drop by.
Tbh , I think there are plusses and minuses in all our lives in one way or another . In my situation I lost a fair bit of equity when I sold my flat in Greater London . Lots of debt to pay back etc .
When my mortgage went from £320 pm approx to around £850 pm
Which was more than half my wages then I was never gonna win
My flat now is worth about less than half of the flat I sold .
If someone likes their job and can manage a mortgage which is not over half of their salary then they are winners imho .
Having a job that you like , something I haven't had for years also helps . I'll have to check your diary soon .)1 -
Good luck on the job hunt.
Well done on decluttering the paperwork, I find that so tedious! Must keep on top of it better"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney1
